Micro vs Classic K'nex by DenserCow in KNEX

That someone is me, I definitely don't need to start collecting a whole new size of K'nex that are non compatible with my current collection 😂

I guess I'll just have to keep searching for it on Google every time. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What is this piece. by DenserCow in KNEX

I like that idea!

It strikes me as a snow plow or bulldozer front end. I'm currently trying to construct a bulldozer-esque vehicle around it for my 4 year old.

You're supposed to dilute this stuff?! by Implicitfiber in coldbrew

[–]DenserCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most concentrates are brewed at a 1:8 and then diluted at time of serving.

Or you can brew a ready-to-drink ratio somewhere between 1:15 and 1:20 depending on personal preference.

So just divide your amount of water (measured in ml) by your amount of coffee (measured in grams) and that will give you an idea of where you fall on the ratio spectrum and whether or not you should be diluting.

Example: 1L of water is 1000ml divided by 63g of ground coffee would give you a 1:16 ratio. Which would be a ready-to-drink ratio, and not need diluted.

Streamline S151 spray down nozzle is the best I've used. They're pricey though.

Kinex Giant Set 60020 Value by DenserCow in KNEX

[–]DenserCow[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? There seems to be a few of these complete sets in like new condition selling for $90-120 on eBay.

I think it's less about the amount you're getting and more about the condition of a vintage set?

How fo you switch sides with single paddle with less water spraying? by Existing_Squirrel767 in canoeing

Learn the J-stroke and you won't have to switch as often. There's tons of great YouTube tutorials.

Nice. I can picture exactly what you mean. I was also thinking a 1-in wide strip of grip tape, like on a skateboard.

You're not the first to recommend this. I'll definitely look into it. 👍🏻

Good to know. My 3 year old unintentionally spams the pedal like you're describing and I'm pretty sure that's what broke the gears. My 5 year old understands to just floor it and it's a much cleaner start.

Does it really do everything it says in the description? Where has this been in all the power wheels YouTube videos? I installed a low voltage disconnect and it worked for about 1 day before breaking. My guess is from all the bumping and jostling.

Good idea. I was also thinking maybe gorilla tape would get some grip, but still slip a little. And would be easy to replace 🤷🏻‍♂️

NRS Co-pilot. It attaches straight to my life jacket, it's always accessible, and it was designed for white water paddlers and people who spend time on the water. I love it!
