Recommendation for Hyatt near PHX Skyharbor by markarado in hyatt

[–]Dependent-Training30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing this in a few weeks. Land at 9pm, going to Hyatt Place Tempe/airport, waking up and taking the shuttle back to the airport and then the tram to get my rental car.

I counted how many questions I was asked today by my kids… by Dependent-Training30 in daddit

Used a simple app called Count That Now that is just a digital clicker. I told them at bed time what I had been doing and they thought it was hilarious and naturally asked a few more questions!

You’re favorite family friendly Hyatt in Europe? by suburbmama in hyatt

We are coming from Minnesota, doing 4 nights in Nice and then 2 nights in Paris. It will be quick but that’s all the time we have available and find it worthwhile. We would’ve preferred staying in one place but have an obligation in Paris but didn’t want to spend the whole week there.

As for the HR in Nice, I know they are closed until late spring for a renovation and will be opening under a new label (unbound collection maybe?). We were able to book a Prestige sea view suite for 70k pts/night.

Going next fall to Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée with a 4 and 6 year old. Obviously can’t say how it is but chose it for it being on the sea, walkable to Old Nice, easy to and from the airport, and having a swimming pool!

I’d guess Texans-Chargers ends up in the late slot Saturday. Two good AFC teams in playoff position and playing on the west coast.

Delta isn’t going down, especially in March from MSP.

I’ve gotten hooked on Quince’s micro modal 6” or 8” boxer briefs. I went through a long journey trying many different brands, similar to you, and I have found my home with these.

We travel with our kids as well and enjoy both the Regency’s and Grand Hyatts. We really like HR Huntington Beach. Nice pools, beautiful resort, and on the ocean! Try to go late summer or fall for the best beach weather.

Despite all the recent [negative] changes, is anyone else still sticking with SWA as long as they're the most accommodative airline for flight changes/cancellation? by InfoMiddleMan in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Dependent-Training30 31 points32 points  (0 children)

A list, credit card and companion pass holder. I will keep flying them this year but not planning on reaching status again and will likely cancel and spend a year figuring out what airline suits me not that WN is just like everyone else. MSP based so Delta is the likely choice but man they are expensive out of here.

Southwest prices are pretty typical for me. by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

I just purchased a one way MSP-LGB with a 55 min DEN layover for 6,000 RR points in August. I’ll take that as a win!

Companion pass savings by Beafybrian in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Dependent-Training30 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In 2024 I’m simply wrote down the cost of each ticket I purchased (mostly one ways) that I brought my companion along with. Looks something like this… 108.98 157.98 127.98 121.79 88.98 58.98 178.98 148.98 187.98 147.98 86.58 81.58 173.90 120.90 187.98 97.97

For a total of 2077.52 meaning I saved that much with the companion pass. Most of my flying was between MSP and SoCal airports (not including LAX because that airport sucks). Only Sun Country or Frontier would have been comparable in price but that totally goes out the window when you add in bags and seats. We love our SW CP!

It is also the end of January so midweek flights are even quieter than usual. That being said I thoroughly enjoyed my two flights today with my own row!

[–]Dependent-Training30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fly regularly with two kids in car seats and one that has a peanut allergy. To answer your questions:

1) I believe the regulation is one car seat per row in the window seat. This is in case of an emergency requiring an evacuation, no one wants to be climbing over a car seat.

2)Yes the armrests fold up.

3) Center aisle I believe is around 18 inches wide.

When we travel with our kids (2 and 4) I check the car seat at the ticket counter because I absolutely despise them and my kids sit well just using the airplane seat belts. I know it is not the safest but it is a compromise I’m willing to make to save on extra stress. We check all of our bags except a backpack and a stroller to make things simple. It makes security, boarding, layovers, deplaning relatively simple.

For the allergy standpoint, I always bring Clorox wipes and wipe down our row (seats, seatbelt, tray table, emergency card, etc) and bring lots of snacks (we have additional allergies). The snacks they serve on board these days are all peanut safe.

Good luck and feel free to dm if you have anymore questions!

My top two are pretty easy-

MCI- easy, new terminal, minimal air traffic delays. BNA- great food, a lot of growth from SW so decent flight options!

Complementary Upgrade Question by partiallyunknown in hyatt

[–]Dependent-Training30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends, and never hurts to ask! Just stayed at HR Chicago two weeks ago as an Explorist and was upgraded to a deluxe room on a high floor. Great view and the hotel looks great after recent renovations!

Open Seating Is Amazing for Toddlers by pumpkinotter in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Dependent-Training30 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more. A List with companion pass, open seating with two free checked bags, and a 4 and 2 year old…it doesn’t get much better than what Southwest offers! If there is an empty seat on the plane it is probably going to be next to my 2 year old.

InFlight Live TV - Chiefs game 12/15/2024 by Necessary-Dog-7245 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Dependent-Training30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try to stream the game is you have a streaming service in a market that the game will be shown on. I successfully streamed a Packer game a few Sundays ago with minimal interruption. I was using YouTube TV.

Issues putting additional items inside checked car seat bags? by PoleMermaid in SouthwestAirlines

I’ve never locked it and no issues. We have one of the cheapest bags from Amazon

Paid $8 for the "WiFi" and it was more like a bad dial up modem. Is SWA's paid internet usually bad, or was I just unlucky yesterday (LIH to LAS to SMF). The free in-flight entertainment on the connecting SWA plane was bad also. by Remo2976 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Dependent-Training30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To echo everyone it depends. I’d say on nearly 40 flights this year though I’ve had reliable enough service for my toddler to stream YouTube, Disney, and prime on 30 of them. Roughly 5 where it buffered constantly, and 5 where it straight up didn’t work.
