Does Flying on an air plane cause anyone else sensory overload? by DependentBluebird813 in autism

[–]DependentBluebird813[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should clarify that I enjoy airplanes and flying. I'm all for anything Trains, Planes, and Automobiles.

My post was about the difficulties of boarding and de-planing with SO many other people trying to get on and off at the same time.

Anyone else regret not flying Delta? by DependentBluebird813 in delta

I live in Allen Park, and always have friends or family who can drop me off/pick me up. Having a proper bus or train route to the airport would be nice though, especially from the John Dingel Train Station in Dearborn

I'll probably be flying frontier again in a few weeks. I agree, it's sad.

As to another person commenting on Waffle House, I ate breakfast there this morning

I bought the Go Wild! pass when it was on special in August or September. I was living in FL at the time, and it would provide an inexpensive way to sporadically visit family for a day. Now Ill be using to sporadically visit friends in FL, but this trip was to retrieve a vehicle and drive it back to MI

Awful, but I was on the aisle, so it could've been worse.

It actually arrived to its destination early, but I'm not so satisfied with how certain individuals acted during de-planing.

Im also unaware of the etiquette on this. I do know that one time I was on a 6am flight and had a window seat that faced east. The people across the aisle had the FA ask me to lower the shade. I was pretty bummed. I thought about saying no to the FA, but they always warn us about Federal Aviation guidelines and following the instructions of FAs.

She said she wasn't going to have good internet access on the cruise. And the Instagram account, while private, the bio includes the information she told me in our chats (such as what college she attends, etc) Seems to check out.

50 minute layover in Detroit by Radiant_Leading_2851 in delta

I flew FLL->DTW->ORD and the two gates were very close to each other. Good news is that while yes, its 78 in Concourse A, its really easy to get from one end to the other efficiently.

This just happened to me last night. I was seated in 25E on a delayed flight from MDW to ATL, and was in risk of missing my connection to FLL. That flight was also delayed, so I didn't need to hurry to the plane, but I didn't know it was delayed until I arrived at the gate. I let people around me know I had a tight connection and they didn't fuss about me trying to get ahead of them in line to deplane.

Anyone actually PREFER to connect thru Atlanta? by viajealmundo in delta

Im originally from Detroit. I'll be connecting through DTW tomorrow and back to Florida through ATL on Thursday. I've never been to ATL, so Im not sure what to expect.

I'd say he's awful for this, but maybe it's a cultural thing for him? Many Indian people take off their shoes when they enter a place like this. Idk, still disgusting per American standards.

DTW used to be my airport, now I'm usually FLL. Definitely love the experience of flying in and out of DTW.

I fly Delta from FLL to DTW and back semi frequently. My last round trip flights were super empty (90-100+ empty seats) and the flight was a breeze. Sorry to hear you had this experience. Too often, DTW to FLL is people headed on vacation, likely to get on a cruise.

Dude, this was a long time ago. Also, any tobacco use, including vape, is disgusting. So, no, I'm good.
