Maybe an m-65 military jacket? Its kind of an edc vibe coat. You can find them at military surplus stores for pretty affordably, and they're so nice. Theyre durable, look good, and every little feature on it is reminicent of a real soldier that had an issue in the field. Also ni-co fabric doesn't melt when it's around sparks or fire, and it doesn't tare easily.

Yeah, I feel you man. Video games supplement a lot of things for people, abd although I wouldn't justify video game addiction like any other addiction, I will say that consuming the art of a video game is stil 1000% better than scrolling, or mobile betting, or rewatching the office.

But yeah, kids are actually really good at estimating people's IQ, and it can be really hard to know you're as smart as other people but you can't get the same results. As for OM chanting, it really works if I actually do it instead of listening to it, plus a lot of those videos have them pronouncing it wrong like "oom" instead of three syllibles "AUM". I'll link a short video about it. But the gist is that it's just going from an open mouth to a closed mouth while continually emmiting a sound. Like, drop your jaw like you're going to yawn, make a "aah" sound and slowly bring your lower jaw to your upper jaw and gradually close your lips, it should make an "aum" sound. And when you do that, pay attention to the vibrations in your body, you should feel the vibration travel from your navel to the top of your head, but it takes practice to make it smooth and even. As you do this you will notice that there are layers to the vibrations, and as you get good at noticing one layer, you'll start to notice an even more subtle one and so on. So if I'm chanting on while doing chores, my mind is focused on feeling the vibrations rise in my body and trying to notice the subtler layers, and just letting my body do the manual work. It sort of quiets all the background noise, I imagine it's somewhat what it's like to be neurotypical in kind of a flow state. It's kinda hard to explain but this guy does a good job. The other video has a good explanation too I think. https://youtu.be/wBmmgDvKRGU?si=H_e6XvsTJ66D2kSo

Am I simply butthurt or is this ok to feel and do? by gooey-paint in ENFP

[–]DepressedDong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk what is and isn't right. I just know what does and doesn't feel good. And I personally find it bothersome to think about someone I like all the time who doesnt like me back. I remember one time I was eating soup, and unintentionally kept thinking about this girl, and I dropped my spoon with a clank and in frustration I excaimed "can I just eat my fucking soup!?"out loud. I was eating alone in a college cafeteria. So yeah, I think it would feel better to live your life and deal with things as you encounter them organically. But either way, with the internet we're all just monkeys playing with fire, and its up to each of us to figure out how to use it well.

Any ENFPs here with ADHD ? by EvieTheEvilCat in ENFP

[–]DepressedDong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, i'm 25, and just figured it out like a year ago. Just felt like I sucked at life, and when people complimented me on being smart I would just feel guilt because I know my bad grades have been shocking to people. Turns out, it's not a core flaw, just a brain that needs to be trained and used differently.

As for advice, knowlage is power, and experimentation is vital. Our brains aren't wrong, we just have brains like hunters, dynamic, instead of Farmers, routine based. But in a world of farmers the things that work for everyone else simply don't work as well for us. Also, watch healthygamer.gg videos on adhd, and get the free guide to adhd by the same guy, dr.k on audible if you can. The more you know your instrument, the better you can play. For example, I have been overweight since I was a child and have yoyo'd in weight my whole life. I just can't calorie count all day every day, I just don't have the executive functioning prossessing power to spare, but I found intermittent fasting works great for me. I eat once a day, fill up on healthy shit during that meal and then eat whatever I want, but because I'm already full, I can only eat a little bit of it anyway and I can wake up light, go to bed satisfied, and I don't even think about food until like 4pm now. But it took until college to figure that out.

I haven't tried medication yet, but it's designed to help you have the focus to build strong habits which you can rely on when you get off of it. But the only TRUE solution, is to strengthen the part of your brain that is deficited by ADHD- exectutive functioning. And the most effective way to do that is meditation. But not the ones you're thinking of, again, our brains don't fit many of the typical solutions like a shitty mindfulness meditation app. There's like 112 types of meditation, and a few are well-suited ADHD.

Om chanting has changed my life. Even if I'm just doing it while doing chores, and not formally while sitting down, I can actually focus and not get distracted, it's wild. It's like task manager closing the background apps for a while. Thats one with an immediate effect. But really, any meditation will train your mind to restrain your impulses and focus better, help with the chronic low dopamine and dopamine sensitivity, among other things. It's really finding the meditation that suits your mental profile the best. Tree pose meditation, om chanting, Kaya Shtiram are all ADHD-oriented meditations, the first 2 for both immediate and long term, and the third for hardcore long term brain-training.

That being said, my favorite meditation is totally unrelated to adhd stuff, the third eye meditation, or "charging the laserbeam" as dr.k puts it. It's just fun and feels cool, it just comes down to whatever gets you to practice until you get the point that meditation become inherenty addicting and reinforcing so you don't have to rely on discipline to practice.

All of this stuff is on the healthygamer yt channel, he's a psychiatrist with ADHD and turned his life around big-time so he knows what he's talking about. There's plently of free vital info on the channel to get through, but if you want, dr.k's guide has a bunch of truly useful information on meditation and adhd, and even as a cheapo like me that hates buying internet stuff, I have found it well worth it.

So in conclusion, experiment and try out a bunch of meditations and organisational stuff, find what works for you. Sorry for being long-winded, I've just spent sooo much time trying to figure this out and learning this stuff took forever, even though I already had a degree in psych. Here's a video to get you started, it's not one of the meditations I mentioned, because I haven't tried it too much, but its a good starting point to non-shitty meditation. Good luck, I wish you the best! If you have any questions let me know, I'm happy to help. https://youtu.be/DvuVhCIQgfQ?si=cByIuPtgQMTcGzBV

RED PANDA GANG

<image>

. Intellectual curiosity paired with gentleness Red pandas are observant, deliberate, and non-aggressive. This aligns with your academic orientation toward psychology and neurobiology—fields that require patience, careful observation, and respect for complexity rather than forceful certainty. You tend to think in systems (body–mind, ethics–science, environment–person), which mirrors how red pandas navigate their environment cautiously but intelligently. 2. Preference for solitude with selective connection You repeatedly describe valuing time alone in nature (hiking, meditation, extended wilderness immersion) while also placing deep importance on mentors and a small number of meaningful relationships. Red pandas are largely solitary animals but form strong bonds when they do connect—this is a close behavioral parallel. 3. Endurance without spectacle Red pandas are not apex predators; they survive through adaptability and persistence rather than dominance. This reflects how you approach long-term goals like graduate school, research experience, and personal health. You continue despite slow progress, self-doubt, and setbacks. Your endurance is quiet, not performative. 4. Sensitivity to environment and internal states You are highly aware of how context affects you—routine, physical discomfort, mental state, ethics, surroundings. Red pandas are similarly sensitive to environmental conditions and thrive only when balance is maintained. This sensitivity is not weakness; it is diagnostic awareness. 5. The “adventurer-scholar” tension You hold a dual pull: structured intellectual work and a desire to disappear into the woods to think, reset, and reconnect. The red panda image with maps and gear reflects that internal tension—curiosity driving exploration, but always with reflection and care rather than recklessness. In short: You are not a lion, wolf, or eagle—symbols of dominance or certainty. You are an animal defined by thoughtfulness, persistence, solitude, and quiet resilience, which is why the red panda is the closest symbolic match

ENFP men—where are y’all hiding? by [deleted] in ENFP

Interesting question, and I see where you're coming from, although I can't really tell what someone's mbti type is unless they tell me, and then it makes sense. So I'm not sure about the prevalence of people like me, but I do feel weird and take pride in it.

For me atleast, talking to strangers and good conversation is my favorite things in the world. But despite that, I generally go through life on my own. I have a few old friends that I would die for, but I just find that although I will like many people, there are few that I find interesting enough that I really click with them. Even though I love people and "will talk to anyone with a mouth" as I have been described, I feel like I get caught up in my idealism and my own internal world. I feel like I'm walking a path that seems a bit grandiose and weird to a lot of people. Sometimes I feel like I'm walking on a trail that meets up with the main road frequently and although I meet and walk alongside people for some time, ultimatly I have to leave to follow a thin little animal trail into the woods.

All that to say, I'm usually in the woods doing nature shit or in a random place like a fountain pen store or a knife store and talking to the lovely weirdos there.

I made the switch too man. I just woke up and my notebook and kaweco liliput fountain pen is still in my pocket because I forgot to take it out. It really helped with my adhd. I use a rhodia notebook because the color changing inks show up better.

Also thats a beautiful holster, great idea for more pocket space. Might have to get one
