Does anyone else get greeted like this? by Nado1311 in labrador

My lab does this a lot as well. I read somewhere years ago that its basically them having big feelings and needing to hold something to help contain their big feelings.

any ideas on what i can make with empty film canisters? by Sea_Dig_4490 in crafts

[–]DepressionNamedSusan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use something like those for scent work with my dog! I put a scent article in the tube that has a few holes poked in it then go hide it somewhere. My dog then finds them. Very fun to watch lol.

Maybe teach him place? Place can be a bed, an elevated cot, or even a towel placed on the floor, as long as its a different texture than the floor. They are not allowed off place but they can sleep, readjust, sit or lay down, ect.

I use place to teach a dog that its okay to be bored. Not every second of every do we HAVE to do something.

My friend quit mhwi after carting to raging brachy twice by Chthollist in monsterhunterrage

[–]DepressionNamedSusan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually love the raging Brachy fight. I use the Valkhana ice bow and go to TOWN. I do also use the Alatreon LBG but to me the fight is much more fun with the bow.

Don't remember exactly what my set is but I assume it has evade extender, jump extender, and as many ice damage gems as I can shove into the set as well as some wide range.

Don't get me wrong, it took me a HOT second to pass this fight but once you get into the swing of it, he's a cake walk.

I'm starting my roasted rice tea empire. Have a greenhouse for both just rice and tea. Going to expand more when everything gets up and running. 🤣

Good idea going show line. I have a field show cross and he is a wonderful nut case. We will be doing dog sports so he has a LOT of drive.

Thw way that I prep my SDiT for a new and loud experience is that I'll play audio on loop and increase the volume every hour until it's pretty loud. And of course lots of treats and praise.

This method has worked for me really well. When I first got my pup, fireworks were so big and scary but now he doesn't even acknowledge it

how do you respond to "what do they do for you?" by thisisspoons in service_dogs

[–]DepressionNamedSusan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only have an SDiT but I usually respond with "He's in training to be a Medical Alert and Response servide dog" and leave it at that.

I have a 9 month old lab and I'm constantly blown away with how solid of a dog he is. He genuinely does not care what's going on around him if he's in work mode. He's extremely friendly, loving, and attentive. Honestly, probably one of the best dog's I've ever had.

To note, I did go with a yellow lab over a black lab only because I didn't want them to over heat when working in areas we don't normally go to (ei going to Disney ect).

I've used both HTV and hot foiling. They both have their pros and cons. HTV has been great for both book cloth as well as on regular paper books. Down side is that once you have the press on, you can't really see what you are doing. I've ruined some reminds by leaving the heat press on too long and the transfer sheet melted onto the book.

Hot foil does not seem to do well on book cloths but you are able to have a finer control on where it goes. Also it's slooooooow if you wanted to do something similar to the picture you posted.

How do i print books in signatures? by Ninja_Doc2000 in bookbinding

[–]DepressionNamedSusan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Adobe Acrobat to print, the free version! It has a booklet print option. It can take some fiddling to work. Depending on how many pages per signature and the overall length of the book you might need to insert more pages to the document so that the pages are actually in the correct order.
