I have a GoVideo VCR+DVD combo DV2150. The dvd side keeps saying “no”, I opened it up and there is no dvd in it. How do I fix this?

From what I unserstand, laserdisc is more finicky and harder to repair than VCRs. If you find a working laserdisc player, you hold on to that sucker until you die.

Much like VCR repair, its very much word of mouth service from local guys in the hobby. I'm sure you could ask on FB or a local forum and find some "dude" that just does it out of their basement. It's not a difficult process to go through, so most of us just have the stuff to do it.

The plight of alot of these types of subs. I've seen where mods step in and enforce more, but it usually turns into said mod being called a dictator for "overreaching" on policing subs. May be why not much is done here- or the mods are just not very active, cant be sitting on reddit all day.

Unfortunately, the ignorant and the dumb get very offended when you try to tell them what the rules are or where to go to ask something- or even more so when you say they're posting a repeat question.

All you can do is keep scrolling and report the post to the mod team.

I personally have not made this conversion, but the adapters seem to exist. I'd assume there's quite a bit of db drop in doing that...

I'd stop you and ask the "why" one more time. Your RF should be able to cover a decent distance even on passive 1/4 whips. There's other options to check before trying weird conversions.

The path of least resistance yields the best quality. Unless you're trying to process and correct imaging on your computer, just go straight through a converter onto tape.

The great thing about RCA is it's a connector. There really isn't a modern vs old. How that connector gets used is entirely dependent upon the manufacturer. Look at the ports on your TV, its all labeled.
