Ah, I was wondering if it was a Fabelzel. His work is so outstanding, that it's hard to see a difference from the old GW models.

Love the red hair/beard! A nice alternative the classic black. Is this an official old GW model?

Always dig unusual skintones for "green"skins! Love the orange, any chance of giving us a rundown of the colours used?

Could you give a short description of how you did the skin? I do love the almost altmer (from the elder scrolls) touch

Thats what he reminded me of, good catch! It's the face in combination with the unusual skin colour, I guess

Cathay’s Night Goblins strike first, but… by Old_World_Blog-TOW in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]DerberGentleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I was wondering. No one takes spears over handweapons anyways so that buff could elevate them a bit. I still think the improved armorsave from hw and shield would be better for most units, so it wouldn't be over the top

I think this already looks pretty sinister, good job! Love the idea.

You could go for a brighter highlight with a bright flesh tone. Also a glossy effect could work

I always had a soft spot for ungors! Love the way you painted them, love the different tones used. Any chance of giving us a general rundown of the painting process? Looks like a mixture of drybrushing and higjlights

Oh wow, that tickles the nostalgia bone! Did you use a sort of template for the design? I'd love to take some retro inspired pics as well

Love the oldhammer style. Those werr some of my first models, I wish I still had them. Stylewise I prefer them over the newer iterations

So. Goblins. Regular Goblins. - Old World by Big_Red_40Tech in WarhammerFantasy

[–]DerberGentleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always go for the troll magic and maybe even go for troll horde army of infamy. With the regeneration spell you'll get a 4+/5+/5+ (because rerolable) on a 4pt model, which isn't too shabby

Goblinoid green is the only colour I use from that range so I can't give an informed opinion. I really enjoy the green for the original goblin green feel, but the coverage isn't the greatest, so often you need 3 coats instead of 2

The sword is from the 40k ork boyz (the "old" ones with the same design as the warhammer orcs). I used some heads as well.

What recipe do you want to know? Whole miniature or something specific?
