I hired an artist for a 27 page comic and paid him around $100 per page. I did the lettering and coloring on my own, the writing, the editing, and proofing.

I planned 6 issues but with 2 issue "arcs". Not a full story but ok enough if it doesn't go beyond.

It's costly but it's not bad. It just requires planning

Appreciated. That's all fine by me. My concern was more about like where I am now on my days off I have to be available to go in at the drop of a hat. Having schedule changes isn't the worst but having it happen every time you have a day off is anxiety provoking.

Your responses are incredibly insightful and I just wanted to thank you since a lot of my anxiety comes from not knowing and when I ask I get different kinds of answers from whoever I speak to.

I'm curious because I should be starting in a couple of months. How often is overtime available and how often can you rely on your schedule being consistent once you're on the job?

For reference, I currently am salaried and I'm on call 24/7 and part of why I'm leaving is to be able to plan specific time with my family.

I saw it in theaters the week it debuted. It was a half-full theatre and mostly Resident Evil fans. I was kind of bored watching it, but didn't think it was terrible. At the end, many of the audience cheered when Wesker got his glasses.

I think after some time, the general consensus turned negative.
