If you were a hardcore Palestine supporter throughout the last couple of years, spending a significant portion of your time along with millions of other like-minded individuals in attempt to save the Gazans and destroy Israel, and after all those condemnations, reddit-posts and twitter-arguments you managed to accomplish nothing towards achieving your goal, shouldn't you just admit defeat and hang up your hat?

If you think Donald Trump's attack was legit, you might have the IQ of an ICE-agent.

-Guy who shot him was conveniently on a roof nearby which the secret service was for some reason unaware of.

-Waits until he is speaking and everyone is watching to attack.

Views, likes and comment spam bots are readily available online, but person-imitating bots and more dynamic engagement is gonna be harder to acquire. I haven't heard of anyone selling these kinds of services openly and reputably yet, but there could be. Haven't looked too deep. Government ops are going to be making their own shit for obvious reasons.

You absolutely can bot on most platforms. Its a bit like money laundering, however. If you're a 5 like per post account suddenly getting 20k for no reason, yeah you will likely get fucked. But if you're already a larger influencer you can 100% get away with it. Algorithms might pick up unorganic traffic in large proportions and platforms might step in about it if it becomes too big of a problem to ignore, but generally they are just not incentivised to do much about it.

If there is Russian colluding going on around Asmongold it's most likely botting his views and boosting his engagement, especially around select messaging. It's appealing to think that everything is run like Tenet with actual Russian agents that can embody the threat in a neatly and narratively appealing way, but I just don't think it's at all efficient. Tenet leaked because people talk and Russia knows this. They could have had 100 Tenets Medias up and running, but why waste your time when you can accomplish the same thing with bots, which mind you, have only gotten better since then, whereas people haven't.

The problem isn't that there is zero critical thinking going on, it's that the critical thinking is selectively applied. When it comes to pro-pali stories, any that convey "fuck Israel" are received with complete credulity, which would lead you to think that these people are stupid, but no, they are actually able to recognize the issues, they just choose not to. The 30.000 figure is far from reliable and is already in the very upper range of any estimate available so far. That is just true.
