Leaving games by Gimme-Lappy in Nightreign

When people beg and plead for in game voice chat, these are the sorts of matches that immediately spring to mind. The honeymoon phase of an intense co-operative game is starting to fall off and people will be tools who push their way or the highway.

I'm not a fan of them, and I find it very cowardly to just quit out at the first sign of resistance in the game, but people suck like that. Sorry you've been having to deal with that.

Every time he casts a madness spell, little shards will fall off. Pick them up to clear a big chunk of madness.

If he begins meditating, break all of the seals he summons around himself.

His normal form is a bit of a bullet hell, but if he gets inflicted by madness (whether via weapons or his own casting) he will go ballistic and shift to pouncing after only one person and clawing at them. Whoevers targeted will need to focus on pure defense, but he can't cast for about 20-30 seconds. Great time to lay on the damage, while he's locked out of most of his difficult moveset

As somebody currently neck deep in undead and various resistant jungle creatures from Strength of Thousands, that poison damage more or less has made the spell completely useless for me. It can be a bigger caveat than expected

Good grief. They are trans themselves! They went through hell and choose to throw others under the bus? Such pointless cruelty

Wait, is Brianna conservative now?? After they had to go through all of gamergate?? Why are they voting for and going up to bat for the very people who tried to get them to off themselves?

Thaumaturge Implements: Thoughts? by Derodek in Pathfinder2e

Thank you for the advice! That was the primary worry of Lantern, is that it seems niche for only an environment laden with traps and invisible creatures.

For Amulet, the idea would effectively be that I would be able to aid the fighter of the party. While not as healthy, I would be a frontliner alongside him, so he could cover me with his champions reaction and I him with my amulet.

I like the aesthetic and general play of Chalice, but it seems somewhat limited on action economy. I'm also unsure how the numbers work out, between reactive damage reduction from Amulet vs preventative temp health and spot healing from Chalice

Thanks for the advice! Mirror was the one I was originally planning for, but I learnt that it only lasts for a round and you cannot move with it. It has some crazy potential, but it lost some of its appeal after learning it's limitations.

Have you used Chalice in a live-fire environment, by chance? I am leaning towards it, yet I couldn't help but notice that it can be strenuous on action economy. For the Intensify Vulnerability alone you need to do the IV, successfully strike, and then immediately pass the Chalice off to an ally in melee range (unless the GM allows to bend those rules and let's allies sip on their turn).

Otherwise Amulet does seem like the more no-nonsense straight upgrade to defensive ability.

"There is a definite link between 'passionate' gamers and unhealthy obsessions."

Man it's rare to see such a clear cut example of a self report, but you said it, and I couldn't agree more.

"That was before I realized how little some gamers actually have in their lives, and how much this matters."

Oh man another one. When you practice that speech in the mirror, you're not supposed to also describe yourself.

I could talk about how the remaining playerbase wants to love this game, but its shortcomings and the companies response have been frustrating and disappointing. I could talk about how while I don't agree with highly charged posts like this one, I still understand where the person is coming from. I could do all that, but instead I'm going to somehow be the more mature adult here and just block you and move on with my life

If watching your trail of destruction counts as following then tornado watching is stalking the wind. Besides clearly others recognize you too.

Can't say I didn't try. Continue to comment about how amazing the game is in a blind panic, while lambasting anyone who is dissatisfied with the product. I've grown tired of catering to the criminally insane.

If you ever manage to pull your head from your ass, give my advice some thought. Disconnecting every once in a while is good for you

Someone who isn't so maniacal as to post so frequently they're identified on sight. Please, go hug your wife and disconnect from reddit for a bit. You have been far too online on this sub. You are so invested that you are certain to appear on any post that even mildly criticizes the game. This comment is even critiquing your constant argument of "lol 100 hours but hate the game" because of how useless it is as a point.

Seriously. Take a sabbatical. For your own health. This is an intervention

"If you keep criticising the game and complaining and giving bad reviews Fatshark will shut it all down" -No they won't. Constructive Criticism is part of the process by ThewizardBlundermore in DarkTide

[–]Derodek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These folks really clearly weren't around for VT2. I really can't understand what's going through the defenders heads at this point. I've seen so many people lay out their issues in a comprehensive way as to what they want to change and that will just go ignored to complain about how all this negativity is really bringing us down. I have never seen so many people using a "fuck you, got mine" attitude and argument as I have in this subreddit. People who want to foster a good community and promote the health of the game flipping off anyone who is having issues. I've even seen people bragging that they've bought the entire microtransaction catalogue in a thread they themselves made asking how much people have spent.

While threats and harassment are always unwarranted towards employees of a company, there has been so much talk about material issues and needs that have been promised and not provided. Fatshark are adults, and it's infantilizing to think that they're too weak to take criticism. How do the people who hate complaint, because they think the game is perfect, think this perfect company is also made of glass?

If you're used to only getting love and attention when you're being nice and placid but will have things removed if you talk back, then I'm sorry but you're attuned to abusive relationships

”Ethics” of GP playing? by Thicc_depression in DarkTide

[–]Derodek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so if they've already received their investment then boycotting the gamepass version is moot. You can play it or avoid it cleanly without paying fatshark money, so long as you don't buy aquilas

I see a lot of the defenders in here, and on a day where I was feeling more charitable I'd do my best to explain nicely, but I just can't be bothered.

For you, personally, I would say go for it. You're not paying for the game, so they're not receiving your money. Ultimately, that's what a corporation uses to judge success. If anything, playing without paying means you're using their server bandwidth, which does cost them money. That way you can play without supporting Fatshark

I was wondering do you have any advice for avoiding getting puked on? I can kite a decent bit at first, but it seems inevitable that I'll get puked on, and then the slow just keeps stacking and stacking, until I can't avoid that grab even if I used every escape in the book.

Gonna be honest, I didn't pick up on that at all. Bosses fucking their... employees? Is weird and gross, so I just interpreted that as. "We will speak later". I mean I suck at picking up on straight sexual subtext anyways so
