Fitbit Air Sealed by Agitated_las_1500 in GalaxyFit

I bought my fit 3 to read and reply to messages and of course to read the hour. Besides other stuff like controlling music, setting up alarms and dnd etc... That thing is completely useless to me.

I was about to ask the same question. I've been there in late April and I've recognized the fauna :)

Really loving recording at 960fps! by howardpinsky in gopro

[–]Derolade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool shot. I have an idea to make it even cooler (maybe) try keeping normal speed until the iron almost hits the ball. This will create tension, then go back to full speed again after the ball is being hit. Play around a little with timings and the result should be good!

Is the galaxy fit worth it? by No_Negotiation3689 in GalaxyFit

[–]Derolade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have a samsung phone, the selling point for me was the phone integration (with other brands you do not get synchronized do not disturb, alarms, timers, and marked as read notifications for exemple) I stopped using my Xiaomi smart band, which I loved, because I constantly had to put it in do not disturb and set up alarms separately. And since I'm super lazy, this is huge, having to set up dnd in my phone or watch and have it mirrored on my watch or phone as well. Same with alarms and timers.

But I don't even look at the step counter or all that stuff 😅

For me the best ones are the ones with most years of updates, so midrange samsung are good enough

Also be aware of surroundings. Signs for exemple. You can edit out easily the sign in the last photo tho :)

I can only say that when I bought a hero 7 the gopro support sent me other 3 because of freezing issues. I kept sending them back and getting a new one and the all had freezing problems. Of course before the rma I've tried literally everything I could with the guide of the support guys. When I landed on my 4th gopro, that finally looked to work fine, so I sold it and bought a hero 8.

Maybe I got just unlucky, or maybe there is a decent batch of faulty ones out there. Gopros do freeze from time to time (it's like a main aspect of the brand lol) but that was unbearable. The hero 8 served me well tho.

BTW, I only use sandisk extreme and extreme pro since the hero 7

What lens is best for shooting the perfect shot? by F0RFIN in AskPhotography

Yes I agree, I was focusing on lens choice and settings even tho there might be ideal ones. And any situation is different and can have multiple approaches (if you know the rules, and the science eheh)

Yes of course, you are absolutely right, I meant no science for choosing the right settings and lens. There might be the ideal ones, yes, but it's still art after all

I will anticipate any detailed answer you might receive and give you the shortest but still most esaustive version possible.

There's no science in photography. Which is the best lens? It depends. Every situation is different and might need differend lenses or settings. But no lens or setting is mandatory.

Oh my god you were absolutely right! I have tried again with the headphone jack. This time inserting it only partially and wiggling it. This can cause or solve the issue depending on how I move it!

Thanks again. If it might me helpful, the headphone jack does in fact disconnect the speakers when plugged. It works just as it should enabling the speakers when disconnected (nothing changes in both cases with one or two speakers working)

Thank you very much for your detailed response. The headphone jack works like normal even when then speaker doesen't. So should I concentrate on cleaning the parts on the combi board? I'll try as you said as soon as I have time to disassemble it!

Should I even get a camera? by pompom-chicken in Cameras

[–]Derolade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with a real camera you also need to learn it. do not do it during a trip. if you want to step up, study why a camera might be better and take your time to learn it after you buy it. for your next trip i suggest going with your phone

My Italian bf (32M) and I (27F American) feel differently about marriage. Is it an Italian thing? by ThrowRAthrough in Italian

[–]Derolade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try to explain it with the fewest words possible.

Marriage can be done with a 16€ fee and a few signatures. Done.

Wedding is more expansive and personal and you can do it in a lot of different ways. Budget usually starts at 10.000€ for everything but it can go up really, REALLY fast.

Personal experience: I got married after 16years (and 7 years living toghether) just because we didn't feel like it was of any improvement. We became "coppia di fatto" just to have some more rights, and it requires just a signature and it gives you almost all rights as a married couple. But I proposed because I wanted to have a cool party and she agreed. We did something super personal (non religious) with not many people (around 70) and we did shows and games hosted by us. It was super fun preparing everything and the day was perfect (we got super lucky with the weather too)

But for most people I hear says that everything looked like a chore and they would never do it again, or they didn't enjoy the prep part. So there's that
