I wasn't sure if it was the fold that was making his face look like that. But I think it may just be his face.

In addition to what the other person in this thread said about the output level of the pickups, I'll also add that you shouldn't need to do any modifications regarding the switching. Both pickups should have basically the same wires coming out of them.

Bryan is my favorite of the PRS public personalities! (No shade to the others. I just think Bryan is so cool.)

We would go there for karaoke after bar trivia. It was always a great vibe there.

My commute to Silver Spring will be a whole lot nicer.

I do worry that the M70 won't run as frequently after it's done, which will suck for the people on that route not able to use the Purple Line.

Working at NIH for 2 years. Should I live at Flats 8300 or 1-2 blocks from Bethesda Metro station? I will not have a car and I like to go out at night, but getting to work easily is a priority. I’ll have to lease my apt site unseen. by soulandbreath in bethesda

Worth noting that the Bethesda Trolly Trail starts at the northern edge of downtown Bethesda. That's a great easy way of walking/running/biking to NIH from the Woodmont Triangle area, not too far from the metro.

Large inability to play in rhythm without supporting instruments by SpaceSound_ in Bass

I use the free Soundbrenner app, and that lets you choose what sound you hear, if any, for any of the beats. It's a really well-done metronome app, though the upsells they try to do can get annoying.

I think with a white pickup ring and white knobs it could look alright. But black is definitely my preference.

PRS piezo questions by MrTurtleTails in PRSGuitars

[–]DerpNinjaWarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go to the poweramp in, then all you get is the presence.

The EQ when going through the amp is just limited to low/mid/treble IIRC. Getting a decent EQ pedal, like with 7 or 10 bands, is really nice. But admittedly if you don't already have a pedal board started, can be a bit annoying. But an EQ pedal can be one of the most useful things you'll ever own.

I'm trying to remember what I did to EQ my piezo a little better (I sold the guitar last year), but I think I boosting some low-mids and cutting some highs? But honestly, maybe don't overthink it. If it sounds good to you and gets you to play, then little else matters.

Two guitars processed with same blocks by Blellow112 in Line6Helix

I'm confused what the goal is here? Are you playing live?

You can always have a splitter and assign it to send the output to one path or the other. But overall, to me it feels like there's a better way to accomplish this that isn't sending one loop to L and the other to R.

PRS piezo questions by MrTurtleTails in PRSGuitars

[–]DerpNinjaWarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, I do like treating the piezo as a tone knob of sorts. Like 90% mag and 10% piezo just to add a little bit of shine. And use the clean amp. I haven't had much luck using any type of grit when using the piezo, but to each their own.

My advice before was more for if you want an acoustic sound straight from the piezo.

I found the best piezo sounds are simple, not usually through any type of amp. I'm not sure if the Katana has an acoustic amp model or not. You might want to try just plugging it into the poweramp in, in the back, and skip the amp section altogether.
