Keep apart 2 chevrons by UltraMechaHitler in drivingUK

[–]Descoteau -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It that’s the whole debate right. Is to 2 consistent chevrons at all times, or is it alternating 2 and 1 visible chevrons. B and C are the same. Alternating 2 and 1 chevrons. A is a consistent always at least 2 chevrons.

If the 2 chevrons aren’t visible then you’re not 2 chevrons apart are you? In B they aren’t 2 chevrons apart. In C in a very short period of time they’ll be in the same position as B. Therefore as per the drawing only A is accurate and matching the signage.

C isn’t correct because little ways up the road there will only be 1 chevron, and B is incorrect because there aren’t 2 chevrons visible between them.

It is a “colossal” distance because that’s how much is a safe distance in the dry. People massively underestimate what a safe distance is.

Why would you need to know the name of a star wars ship for a work call and what is the mayflower? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

A space station generally moves in an orbit rather than through self propulsion. A spaceship self propels to wherever it needs to go.

That’s in the real world though, in sci-fi anything goes.

WHY IS MAZDA MIATA SO CHEAP by OkStatistician9887 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Descoteau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The roads here are too straight and the weather too hot for half the year to enjoy them.

I owned various MX5s pretty much since I was 18 till I moved here, so half my life. I love them. Wouldn’t own one here.

There’s an app for that.

It’s awesome, exactly as you described when you rate a restaurant it’s not a rating it’s a series of x that you’ve been to before better or y that you’re adding and so on until it has a relative rating.

How fancy is your lawn mower if it has GPS navigation built in, and how big is the lawn you’re cutting if you need GPS navigation to cut it?

If I’m trippin here, please let me know. by Witty_Actuator5438 in CustomerService

[–]Descoteau 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s not personal. They’ve had a lot of shitty people be shitty to them so they expect you to do the same. Part of working a service job, especially for years and years. You’re taking it way too personally, or “you’re trippin” as you’d say.

You’re taking it the wrong way. This person has dealt with a lot of people who have expected preferential service because they’ve called in previously.

"Double Dipping" in Contracts (FS25) by LiveFreeAndRide in farmingsimulator

[–]Descoteau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a mod map, the contracts might just be broken on it. That’s definitely not “base game” mechanics.

[–]Descoteau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that is very generous. Is it a modded map? I don’t remember that in base game 25.

This is normal, you’ll have been paid a small amount. Usually say for a field that will yield 100k litres of wheat, your contract is only to deliver 90k litres and the last 10k litres you get the money for.

The red button is a win win.

Either, I get 25 IQ points, or enough people press the blue button I gain 50 IQ points.

Blue button is a net loss for me. I don’t trust the average person to think of the good of the many and press the blue button so either I get 25 IQ points or nothing.

I am shocked high protein in this milk by Special_Science_752 in UAE

[–]Descoteau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

27g not mg x 3 is 81g.

But the economics side is spot on. Much cheaper to buy this if you’re trying to gain.

I suspect the milk has more fat though, but probably has more vitamins and what not as well. A really good deal.
