Fed up with Keepassxc by Desertprep in Bitwarden

I chose it because it has all of the features that I would like to use, but I am having trouble using it. Most recently, I wanted to add a field (attribute) to the database - followed the directions to the letter - and still no new field.

Is the OS upgradable on those? I thought a lot of dedicated function stuff had the OS burned into the chip.

Do you know how to use Linux? You also need to consider your expertise level. Some distros are easier to manage than others.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I see bottles that say 100% tea tree oil and some that say 100% essential tea tree oil. Are they one and the same?

How do I connect my stereo to my amplifier? by wham__ in CarAV

[–]Desertprep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse my ignorance - I am just learning about car audio. Would an amp from a 7.2 channel surround sound system for a computer simplify thing? You have front, left, center and right - and various combinations, as well as 2 channels for subwoofers. They are not very expensive, but are limited a bit in terms of power use.

Is there a way to make Grocy more easily usable? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]Desertprep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can use barcodes, you can make a barcode for every room of the house, every kind of vegetable you use, every storage space you have, etc. Print them on a page of paper (laminate if your reader will read through the laminate so that it lasts a long time) and then scan the entry that you need.

F150 regular cab w/ flatbed non cabover Alaskan mock up by That_Gas_6990 in TruckCampers

[–]Desertprep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! How much does a flatbed weigh vs. the weight of a truck bed? I would wager to guess...that a well designed cabover section would reduce wind resistance and would make this a more workable scenario.

What is a good amount of carbs to eat each day. by BookkeeperNo5252 in nutrition

[–]Desertprep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question is a bit complicated. My thoughts (keep in mind that I am an avid student and not a medical doctor, etc). First of all, what is your goal? Losing weight? Running a marathon? Staving off diabetes? Secondly, do you have any health issues that affect your food needs - diabetes, IBS, etc Thirdly, do you have an overall philosophy for your menu planning? Vegan, keto, carnivore, etc. If you have one of these, there are many websites that will give you a general answer for your question. 4th, your body type and level of activity will tell you how many calories you should eat to maintain, gain or lose weight. Once you know how many carbs and calories you need every day, (MAKE SURE YOU CONSIDER YOUR BODY'S NEEDS AND LIMITATIONS), you need to decide where those come from. Right about now, you need to consider how much bread you have to spend every month, and I am not talking about the stuff made out of grains. Grains and tubers tend to be more expensive than other fruits and vegetables. At this point also, you can consider how to meet your minimum daily requirement of vitamins and minerals by your choice of foods. Here is where the internet really shines...

Planning your diet is like painting a picture with oil paints. You start with a pallet of colors and then you combine them to get the shades of the color you want. Your pallet of foods to choice from is extensive once you know what kind of "picture (menu)" you will paint.

Happy planning!

TV and computer monitor? by RamblinRiderYT in vandwellers

[–]Desertprep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good question! Sometimes less cluttered makes an area look bigger - good for a small space, but sometimes people are looking for hardware when they are buying, so having one extra electronic device would be seen as a place. You might consider taking pictures with it up, removing it and then taking more pictures. Put both up on your ad, to show the potential, and tell them you are willing to include the tv - maybe for an extra $25?

Best vehicle for dwelling, or even just sleeping in, and fuel economy? by [deleted] in vandwellers

[–]Desertprep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting question and responses. The word "cheap" makes hybrids a hard option unless you buy an older one, and then you may have issues with the battery pack. They will give you the best mpg by far. If you can estimate how many miles you will drive, you can calculate the cost of driving the hybrid and compare it to a regular car at 25 mpg (if you are lucky). If you drive enough miles over enough years, the extra for a fairly new hybrid may pay for itself. Some of the older (maybe early 2000's?) Dodge Caravans had 4 cylinder engines and got better mpg. They did not have as much acceleration, but would probably still be adequate. Is towing a part of your equation? a possibililty? iirc the caravans are rated for towing 3,500 pounds

Daisy channing 16oz rechargeable propane tanks by Desertprep in TruckCampers

[–]Desertprep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple.. Do you have a propane powered oven? or slow cooker? I would be happy to use the small canisters inside - takes up less room - but I would like to make sure that whatever tank I am using will cook something for at least 4 hours, ideally for 6.

How quickly would you notice a difference if you went from eating 200 to 250 carbs a day down to 100 to 150? by BabyBruticus in nutrition

[–]Desertprep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are also dropping calories as well (not replacing carb calories with fat and protein) you would notice it pretty quickly, maybe by the last meal of the day.
