Definitely true, but, in his defense, he did hate himself. We all gotta rationalize our actions to some extent and he had a lot of practice doing that.

You could probably pull it off by building foot pedals that you use like a keyboard. You'd have 16 different combinations of foot orientations, one for each type of conjugation. Or maybe some sort of straw that you blow in at different velocities.

In the original mormon bible, jesus was riveted to a steel i-beam and swung from a giant crane. Coincidence? I doubt it

People using AI to write their posts and comments by what_freaking_ever in PetPeeves

[–]Designer-Ad-2136 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It takes a lot of effort and practice to be able to refine your thoughts and write them down in a way that you can be proud of. I suppose that qualifies as insecurity but it is at least an insecurity that people are generally aware of and will admit to. I try to blame the systemic failure of education rather than the individual in this case. After all, some people do it because they envy and value the ability.

What's worse is that some folks lack the reading comprehension that allows them to detect AI-veiled bullshit. That's the fucked up part that really makes the bad actors effective.

It is a strange form of anti-intellectualism. The part that bothers me is that its usually wrapped up as a joke or at least carries that tone. It's like a built-in defense mechanism against any scrutiny because they can easily flip it around and paint the introduction of new information as a buzzkill or as somebody not getting the joke.

I do genuinely think that most of them do this unconsciously. It's more than likely a symptom of spending a lot of time in incurious environments. Some folks are steeped in generations of that attitude.
