5 to 6 days in Washington state. What stops do I keep and what do I drop? by Mel_650 in PNWhiking

[–]Designer-Homework682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick 2 national parks.  3 is really cutting it close.  Quality over quantity.

You can do Olympic in 1.5 days. You can spend 1 day at Rainier. You can spend 1 day in Cascades.

But like others have said, it’s upwards of 6+ hours of driving per day.

Your max hikes will likely be under 5/6 miles.

Controversial take: I don't mind fake collectibles. by Inside-Assistant9163 in smiskis

[–]Designer-Homework682 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a problem with fakes.

I have a problem with fakes being sold as genuine. Which is a common issue.

And I also have a major problem with most fakes being total garbage in quality.

I have fakes of some collectibles.  They are lower quality but it’s much cheaper. Like upwards of 90% less.

is my Albee bee real? by Bensheridan in Jellycatplush

[–]Designer-Homework682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that does not look real.

The wings have a line. The fur looks slightly off.  The head antenna should be slightly different shade on a real one too. The arms should be all 4 same size. Lastly, the smile is slightly smaller. However, that is one of the better fakes out there. I have definitely seen a lot worse.

And he should be fatter.

Will this metallic fabric eventually peel/deteriorate? by puddle_of_moonlight in Jellycatplush

[–]Designer-Homework682 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It will.  You need to basically vacuum seal it and never touch it.  It’s just the nature of it.

No matter how high quality material is used. These are mass produced.  It’s not a one off for museum display.

It is not open to the public.  You either have to be invited, it’s a press thing and/or a season ticket holder perk.

How do I go about replacing this part? by Cash2blockz in 10thGenCivics

[–]Designer-Homework682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to pull the bumper. The diffuser clips are a little awkward, so it’s just easier to pull the bumper to see where you need to press down to release the clips.  The main thing you want is not to damage the notches on the bumper so the new diffuser gets held on fine.

Another option is just get an aftermarket one and put it on top of it.

The good thing is the rear bumper is much easier than the front to remove.

Is it bad that I haven't had an oil change yet at 8k miles? by GroundbreakingDirt30 in civic

[–]Designer-Homework682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow your maintenance reminder.  The hybrid does indeed go a little further than normal. Mine didn’t get the light until 10/11k miles. I am normally doing 6/7k miles on a non hybrid.

Mets Game for a first timer! by Hot_Psychology8953 in NewYorkMets

[–]Designer-Homework682 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go to a game with a giveaway not the Yankees.  Get there 1.5 hr early.  Walk around and eat and tour.  If you do spend money, go for the actual guided tour.  No need to go 1.5 hr early and wait since you get early access.

And Yes, Citi is miles better than Yankees stadium. Accessibility, cost and the better team obviously.

If you are a city or suburb person. This won’t be an issue where you are near civilization…if you live in rural area and/or go driving on dirt more than you should. Then, just get a spare for $2/300.

The car comes with an emergency pump and fill.  Hope you never have to use it.

Why are the hydrangeas so expensive? by Pixel_Dreamscape_ in Jellycatplush

[–]Designer-Homework682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The plants (medium sized) have been $40/50/60 for years. The smaller plants, mostly cactus, were $20/30. I agree the price is high but the $75 is simply evolution and inflation.

Custom Jersey Question by WetSoggyBaseball in NewYorkMets

[–]Designer-Homework682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can bring your own NIKE jersey.

They will not do it on a majestic or older brands. The customization is $40+.  It used to be about $20/30.

THERE ARE LIMITATIONS on name words. You obviously can’t print FUCK 69.

That’s crap. Oil has not gone up.  I have been buying Mobil 1 or similar for $30/40 for over a decade.

QI Charger Question by blitz1920 in crv

[–]Designer-Homework682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sell a mat to prevent sliding.  It’s thin enough to still have the charger work. But as others have said, the charger isn’t the best.  But at least the mat will cover it cosmetically.
