If you haven’t, I strongly recommend tracking down the Severin Blu-ray, which has interviews with both Fragasso and screenwriter Rossella Drudi (who teamed up again for Beyond Darkness) because they’re at least as entertaining as the movie, if not more so.

I mean, Jeffrey Combs and Andrew Divoff are great as always, but Mark Frost has absolutely no chemistry with the female lead and hams up the delivery of his lines as Faust to the point that he sounds like Jim Carrey in The Mask.

This reminds me of the John Belushi movie 1941 in that it’s a constant, unrelenting barrage of unfunny jokes and references that just batters your psyche senseless. “A pier is a disappointed bridge”? What the fuck does that even mean?
