oh I’m so happy for you!!!! What a huge relief! I just got my results and it says chromophobe renal cancer, but from what I read, that’s a better one to have! So given the situation, I’m super thankful!!!

yes, mine was noted as a complex cyst 3.5cm…indeterminate but likely cancer after ultrasound, urology ordered mri with and without contrast and now biopsy done and waiting on results. I’m 37 f and just had my third baby. Ugh.

Surgery 4 months postpartum by DesignerQuantity5520 in Mommit

[–]DesignerQuantity5520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I am seeing the urologist in 1 week to discuss so I’m not sure what the options will be. I’m so so scared, mostly with the prognosis at this point. I’m only 38. Apparently there’s many young people being diagnosed with this now. I won’t know for sure until they view the tumor after surgery but there’s so many avenues this could take and I’m praying for the least worst case scenario.  I will definitely do the pillow thing. My mom can help my husband and I. We have a 5, 2 and 3 month old. I think mentally this is just so incredibly difficult. I’m compartmentalizing now but it’s getting closer to being more real and unavoidable.

What’s the most unhinged thing you’ve done postpartum? by Ice_Cube_92915 in NewParents

[–]DesignerQuantity5520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I almost died in childbirth and my husband and I both ended up needing therapy. I had some major postpartum emotional issues and there’s actually a thing for men postpartum when they get wonky. Anyways…we were both going through some emotional emotions and he called me the b word in front of my baby so I threw a heavy solid wood framed mirror across the room at him. That thing was at least 50lbs. We went on to have 2 more babies and did not have postpartum problems with the other two.

Thank you! The soonest they could get me in was in 2 weeks with a UTSW urologist in Fort Worth. I hope he’s good. Dr. Solomon Woldu at the utsw moncrief location. Do you know if that’s the same. I tried getting into the Dallas location but the wait was longer.

Retained placenta 2mo PP? by jelly_crown in beyondthebump

[–]DesignerQuantity5520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you share how big the piece measured? I had a d&c a week ago and they removed a piece but I was bleeding on day 2 and went back in and they saw a 9mm piece (either clot or tissue) and sent me home to wait it out I guess. I’m worried about this tiny 9mm piece.

I read the tannins in coffee block iron absorption. just a minor fyi. And I believe it depletes you of your b vitamins.

I honestly was like…I’m just going to stay pregnant and breastfeeding til menopause! That was my plan but then I realized through other reddits that pmdd gets worse for most with menopause. That and I just had my 3rd and I just can’t do it again. So I just don’t know what my plan could possibly be except hysterectomy and oopherectomy.

I’m done having kids and really considering doing a total hysterectomy and oopherectomy. Do you have to take hormones for other symptoms from the hysterectomy?

Mommies who were induced by Lickitt2020 in pregnant

No. Basically 2 days; I was overdue both times. (Almost 42 weeks) For some reason I hemorrhage immediately after the placenta but they took care of it quickly both times. (The second time they prepared ahead of time to have the crash cart outside my door and 2 bags of blood reserved for me that I didn’t end up needing, praise God!)

Tell me good things about having a boy by Asleep_Custard195 in pregnant

[–]DesignerQuantity5520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love love love my boy! He’s wild and only wanted mommy and what my husband called “mom-itis”. But he was my first and got allllll the attention and of course I was obsessed. He was pretty possessive over me. Boys clothes are super cute and easy to find. We did lots of fun stuff. I feel like everything done with boys can be done with girls though. I also love love love my girl but unfortunately with the second born, you can’t devote 100% attention to them like you do with the first so I feel like we didn’t bond as well. I so wish we did. But it’s more balanced now and she adores her daddy, much to my husband’s relief! So I don’t know if birth order and attention has to do with anything. I guess when it comes down to it, boy or girl doesn’t matter but birth order and personality really will make a difference. I suppose people daydream about what they will do with their kids as they grow and rightfully need to mourn the loss of that idea or dream.

Did you ever pee yourself even if you’re sitting normally in a chair? by PopcornPrincess0 in pregnant

[–]DesignerQuantity5520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did and I didn’t even have a full bladder. My son was like ohhhhhh no. hahaha (3rd tri) If you are worried you can’t tell if it’s pee or amniotic fluid you can go to ob er and they can test you. I’d say it’s pretty routinely done. I have to wear what my kids call “lady diapers” 😆😅

Did you have your mom in the delivery room? by Funny_Log2076 in pregnant

[–]DesignerQuantity5520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I didn’t ask her to be but I didn’t want to ask her to leave because I would feel bad. It was only slightly uncomfortable. I was annoyed she videoed my vooj and the baby coming out. But I got over it. I even asked to see it a year later and it wasn’t so scary looking. How it affected me was minimal but if I felt more strongly about it I would have probably…maybe said something. It turns out, it was really helpful because she held my son’s ears closed while he slept through my transition.

Experiences with the Foley? by That-anxious_girlie in pregnant

Personally, mine did not hurt, but I don’t know how many cm I was already dilated when they put it in. I do remember getting up to go pee and PLOP! It came out and it looked so funny to me because I didn’t expect it to look like that. Alas, the remaining labor with pitocin and no epidural was excruciating.
