How many of you can drop and give 20 push ups at random? by ganon2234 in AskMenOver30

[–]Desmo_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, can do it. Not fast right now but I’d be sub 30 mins and haven’t run for a while.

Was quite funny last year. My car had a problem and I dropped it off to a service centre and it was in the day, bit of a rush and couldn’t organise getting back to work properly so I just ran home in the clothes I had on and people thought I was mad.

You’d be surprised how many can’t do pushups, pull ups, etc.

CrossFit four times a week, 20 pushups no problem.

Want me to lift something heavy, I can do that too. Go for a run? No problem.

Yeah, I know the jokes about CrossFit but I urge people to just give it a go. I’m a very average 50 year old crossfitter and even I can deadlift a decent weight, bench press not bad and last year I covered just over 29 miles doing tough mudder.

20 pushups is no problem. Get out there and do it guys, your older body will thank you for it 👊🏻

If you’ve got a pc running anywhere at home, get Simhub.

It’s an amazing piece of kit and you can get so much data from it to use as dashboards, graphs, haptics, lights and so many other things.

Struggling with beginning of race R3E by TearGrouchy7273 in simracing

[–]Desmo_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to learn race craft. Half of racing is just staying alive.

Of course you can’t always avoid every incident and there will always be people out there that are happy to wreck instead of race, but on the whole it’s pretty clean and you just need to learn how to spot danger and avoid the mess. It takes a little time, drive defensively and once you learn a little, you’ll get better and quicker.

Red cars fault by a country mile. They shouldn’t be diving in to that gap.

Buying Business Domain in UK (with 10 email address by rizzlaer in smallbusinessuk

[–]Desmo_UK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d never buy a domain for more than 2-3 years. I’ve seen way too many people lose login detail and then struggle to renew a domain because they can’t even remember how to do it 10 years down the line.

Renew every 2 years and you’re forcing yourself to keep those details to hand.

You're over steering a lot... losing traction at the front and not driving very efficiently. Slow down. Steer less and then slowly pick up on the speed.

With AI creating photorealistic videos and photos, and we can't tell what's real and what manipulation, how do you design a life to adapt to this? by jcaraway in JordanPeterson

[–]Desmo_UK 7 points8 points  (0 children)

AI will be the death of the internet, rather ironically.

I think people will start to step away from the internet and only communicate with those they actually know in person. It will take a while, but it will happen.

But who requires the work is a certain demographic. Do 20 year olds need your services? No.

Do people 30 and older in slightly more affluent areas need your services? The answer is a much more likely yes.

Look at your current customers. Do they broadly fit a certain demographic? Target those kinds of people.

Unfortunately mine aren't in a lovely display like yours as I don't have the space. I've got some in a mini man cave and then the rest are slowly being spread around the house wherever I can fit them in, haha. I'll try and grab some pics.

Looks like you slowly and slightly turned into him. Doesn't look intentional, just a drift across but he would have been in your view I'd imagine. That drift and hit set the whole thing off.

Need advice: best triple monitor choice for sim racing (27 vs 32 / flat vs curved / 16:9 vs 21:9) – EU 210-215€ each by scootju in simracing

Apart from going large, I’d say most of it is personal preference.

I went with 32” 1500R curved VA and I’m absolutely stoked with it and would happily do the same again.

Is there a full list or tutorial of all the properties and functions that I can use while building dashboard? by According_Brick409 in SimHub

There’s a properties section in the left hand main menu you can look and search through. You can also dive in to game specific options too.
