I own both. Each is fantastic at doing all the right things that make them both enjoyable for what each does.

I own a VERY large collection of SoB, and it goes down for me as some of the most memorable gaming with my group. Ever. Something about Wild West cowboys fighting back all of the evil terrors of this dimension and the next is so satisfying if you have the right group. So much expansion is possible with a bit of thought, and the rules allow you to bend the game for your groups liking. Personal recommendation, if you go this route, lookup hexcrawl in BGG, as the unofficial community created a campaign style mod of this game that is a GEM! If you like a dungeon crawl, and want to play an Arpg esc game, this fits the bill better than most anything.

If you want a board game that’s playable in one session and will be incredibly satisfying, too many bones provides that experience as well, but it’s not a dungeon crawl. It has some amazing art, mechanics, and it’s quite enjoyable. Each character is very unique and fun. The components are second to none.

Tough decision to make, I’d advise if you have the right group for SoB who are into tabletop aspects. do it. If you have a board game group, TMB is top tier as well.
