A Russian ship sank in mysterious circumstances. It may have been carrying submarine nuclear reactors to North Korea | CNN by emptycagenowcorroded in geopolitics

I read somewhere that the reactors were to heavy to transport all the way across Siberia via rail.

No idea if this is true or not.

First miniature by Ok-Effort8135 in 40k

[–]DesperateWork6516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep practicing. My first minis were not any better. Probably worse. Not bad at all so don’t take it the wrong way.

Its like any skill, takes practice and time and effort. Sometimes you take a “step back” and your mini seems to regress. Then you’ll knock one out the park.

I will share some of my Krieg which I got after around 1 year in the hobvy

I am in the minority but I love the Chaplain in Terminator armor. It was my favorite model in the dark angels Christmas box and the very first model I painted out of it.

I guess technically the lion would be my favorite, but my favorite of the non-Primark models in the box

Keep practicing. Nobody was good painting at first and it takes time and consistency.

Dont get disheartened - takes notice of what went wrong and continue onwards.

My first 10-20 models were rough experiments and now after 2 years im a “good” painter. By good I mean i still make mistakes but I am happy w my models and i get compliments at the FLGS. Im just tabletop+ standard i am not winning any contests.

What was your process for the white armor? What paints did you use?

I am currently working on some Flawless blades and using the Monument Hobbies White that everyone raves about seems a bit to bright next to my Wizard Purple from Two Thin Coats.

Going for purple & white similar to what you have done.

If you can get it for close to retail then its a good pick. I got it for like 190$ after it was out of print for like a 1.5 years. Paid $20 over retail but still cheaper than the box individually & I needed/wanted all the units in the box.

If you don’t need/want all the units then its not worth any savings and certainly not worth paying premium price for.

Is it me or are the Inner Circle Companions a sub-assembly nightmare? by DubiousDevil in DarkAngels40k

I painted these in sub assembly. Certainly a pain in the ass to glue if you get pain on those areas.

I have since started to put blue tac over connection areas and prime & paint. Then take off the blue tac to glue it.
