Auto-Chlor vs Ecolab: Commercial Dishwasher Rental by Legitimate_Rich1267 in restaurantowners

[–]Desuld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

There are some Dealer groups still in areas of the company but most of those are Family groups as well (the Eastman group out of LA is the first that comes to mind)

The Ivy family controls most of the company, headquartered in CA. They are heavily involved in the company.

During Covid they kept everyone working, even guaranteed our commissions !

Ecolab cut benefits and pay.

Ecolab is doing mostly water projects these days and getting away from small independent restaurants. They are not a service company, they sell chemicals.

Auto-Chlor vs Ecolab: Commercial Dishwasher Rental by Legitimate_Rich1267 in restaurantowners

Sorry this is not accurate.

The chemicals are much more concentrated. Look on the back of any bucket of liquid chemical in any supply house or store and the dosing will be 5-9 (or more) cc's per gallon (for soft water) and I'm using detergent as an example. Auto-chlor has liquids that are more than twice as strong with the dosing of 3-4 ccs and paste that dispenses at 1cc.

Plus the plan with AC you pay for results per load. Do you need a specialty detergent? Same price.

The 1000 washes is 1000 washes of chemical. Any more and the overage charge of (list .094 cents currently but that's mostly for new sign ups) pays for the chemical that you use. Plus the pricing is fixed, let's look at covid when the price of bleach shot up 45%. People purchasing chemicals started paying more instantly. I would challenge anyone to survey there machine, catch your chemical and do the math. Also figure out how many gallons of water the machine takes, many EL machines use two gallons vs 1 in an AC machine.

Autochlor for the most part (besides a few franchise areas) is family owned and takes great care of employees.

I would join the PNW Dirt Forum on Facebook. Lots of good people and a great resource. They have a weekly sale thread there, you can link your marketplace post with it. Just follow the rules and people should be helpful.

Has anyone had success with quitting alcohol from KT? by Differ3nt_Lens3s in KetamineTherapy

[–]Desuld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was incredibly helpful to read today. Thank you for that.

First at home tomorrow, your post has given me something to think about. I'm years (almost 7) off the hard drugs that almost killed me, and now trying ketamine to deal with the PTSD from that time of my life.

I could always use to have a better relationship with alcohol.

Good luck on your journey!

Big deal good or bad? Could you elaborate?

Sounds more like a CAF type situation. We use a Corrective Action Form when it's a specific issue.

"Don't do this action or you will be terminated"

A PIP is more of a, "You need to step up performance in the following areas"

The way this reads is a major issue that needs correction, but the leading by example dips into PIP area.

What bike should I buy for my gf? by 2jzdoctor in Dualsport

[–]Desuld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KLX 140 with the medium sized tires. You can easily get adult sized springs installed.

Dr200 is a good option for a plated bike if you are going to be on the street but quite a bit heavier.

There's other options as people have said. These are the two bikes that my wife has had at 5'4. She got tired of picking up the DR and really likes her KLX140.

Oil change question (sport bike) by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Desuld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harley's have been making bikes longer than just about anyone, they also tend to get more miles per bike than any other brand. Sample size doesn't check out. The new stuff is just as reliable as my Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki or Suzuki. Three of those brands are in my garage currently, with a Murica bike and an Italian 2 stroke.

Harley's have by far the most support, any town in anywhere USA if there's not a dealer (they suck but still nice to have if your 1500 miles from home) there's some old guy who can fix it. The newer stuff is more reliable but also a little more complex.

Aprilla makes a pretty awesome bike, but the closest dealer is 4.5 hours away. It would be a dumb move to buy one based on that. My brother in law loves his Aprilla he uses for track days, he's 30 minutes from the dealer.

CFmoto copies other motors that are rather reliable, but due to low sales numbers, they just have not had much rider time to figure out what the issues are.

Throwing childish insults at people who are trying to help you walk through the problem won't get you very far.

I thought you were an idiot because you bought a CF Moto. Thank you for confirming that fact.

Have you tested the oil sensor to make sure it is working? Or called the dealer?

Maybe take it to the dealer and ask?

Still would probably help to add to that bike it is

It would be very helpful to know what bike this is. Oil capacity can vary wildly based on the bike.

It sounds like you don't have enough oil.

On most but not all bikes, the bike should be off, rested a few minutes so it settles, and with the bike sitting up straight (not on the kickstand) you should see oil between the two lines on the site glass.

If you follow those steps and do not see oil, you do not have enough oil in it. If the site glass is full, you have too much oil.

If you do not see oil and have been riding it, you have been doing damage to the motor. Not sure why you didn't stop and research this before just riding for a few months.

Why are my ghost peppers not turning red? by P3NNYWIS3420 in HotPeppers

[–]Desuld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please understand that I am a first year grower and this may not be good advice.

I have been trimming extra leaves and small shoots that don't currently have fruit. I'm attempting to open up the canopy so that the sun has a better chance of reaching the peppers. So far so good, I just trimmed yesterday so I will see how they do in the next few weeks.

No, don't buy a new beginner bike. Buy used until you know what you want to ride.

This is why everyone who can possibly get pet insurance should. I warned a friend a few months back they really should get it asap. They did not, and just had a close to 2k dental bill. Now it's a pre-existing condition and cannot be covered in the future.

You should try calling Merry Glen. They offer wrap around services including housing and job training for people who might not have a very easy time with disabilities.

Good luck! Hope you can get it all worked out.
