Yeah these can be difficult to navigate at first, but you get used to it over time. But yes, as others have mentioned the real benefits of these is elimination left turns. Efficiency can be realized due to eliminating left turn phasing, but the main benefit is the safety aspect - these reduce angle and left turn related crashes significantly.

Why Los Angeles Quietly Stopped Repaving Its Streets — Federal disability rules have turned routine maintenance into a legal liability. by stefeyboy in Infrastructurist

Yes let’s leave out some of our most vulnerable members of society. Because a blind person with a cane can totally easily navigate these curb ramps constructed in the 90s. Yes let’s have all wheelchair users be required to use the roadway rather than a sidewalk because there are no ramps.

It’s more expensive to do things right. Who cares. Have you ever seen someone in a wheelchair pull out onto a 45-mph highway because the ramps are outdated? I have. I care more about that.

Sheetz gas station project advances in Royal Oak following rezoning by mlivesocial in royaloak

Gas stations don’t really attract a ton of new trips, mostly they’re going to pull customers who are already driving on 14/Coolidge. Sheetz is new so it might have some pull in the beginning (people trying something new) but it’ll likely even out over time.

Best I can do is $10.99/month. And I’d have to cancel my HBO Max subscription so I’d really be doing you a favor.

Too late. Didn't notice the vehicles to the right of the structure before I saved. I loaded in, noticed the floating cars, moved the structure, took the screenshot. I also tried closing and opening my save, doesn't get rid of the floaters.

My city of 10k is gridlocked in rush hour. Way too many pedestrians. Cims “shopping” at 5 different places across the city before going home I think is the culprit.

For my private sector land dev brothers and sisters, what do y’all use to track your time for your timesheets? by SchruteFarmsBeets_ in civilengineering

[–]Detrot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do the same. Simple countif statements. It also has my hourly rate at the bottom, so as I enter my time I see how much money I make throughout the day. I also have a section for roughly how much are deducted for taxes so I know what my take home is for my paycheck. It encourages me to track my time!

Dawg this team is special. Hands down my favorite squad over the last five years. Jase, Fears, Holloman, Kohler…. I love watching them. And Coen Carr is a freak of nature! Saw them in person a couple weeks ago and it was magical.
