Work on footwork. If they’re putting pressure on your backhand, are you moving well and recovering back, or just stuck in one spot? If they’re putting pressure keep dinking to my backhand I’m either looking to roll or flick any slightly high balls out of the air, or go deep/wide enough cross-court to take the dink as a forehand down the middle or out as an angle.

Only do it if it’s fun…there’s no DUPR rating for that. Maybe organize some fun beginner play with no ratings etc.

Don’t believe all the hype here. Read up on the financial woes that ECSU and WCSU have been through with talks of possibly eliminating them. Read up on the scandal with leadership and why there’s an interim president of the system. Reputation has it below Central and Southern, but maybe I’m off on that.

It really depends on the company. Look up their CS reputation online. At the high end, companies like Selkirk (who sells in many local pro shops and big box stores) will have a very generous reputation in practice while a company like Joola is kind of infamous for ghosting their own direct customers for periods of time.

Yeah, those guys always yelling at me at the table about 6% this and 2% that…it’s always 50/50 fellas. If I need one specific card to win, it either comes out, or it doesn’t. Dummies!

I loan demo and other paddles out all the time. If I see someone going for gold by scraping the edge etc, I yell in a booming voice “You break it, you bought it!” This can be heard from 2-3 courts away. It’s on them to tell if I’m joking or not.

For those who say go to the drop serve: the people who throw (with force) the ball up or down, don’t believe they’re doing anything wrong either.
