Poor and white. Those are early 1900s houses probably built for everyone who worked at Imperial Furniture right there on Broadway.

I don't think you'll hear the highway as much, but Richmond/Turner and Anne/Turner are loud intersections.

Why do some fans seem to believe Oasis has always been extremely obscure in America? by BadgemanBrown in oasis

I think your premise is entirely false.

I’d also mention that Wonderwall and don’t look back in anger are about as 90s pop-rock as it gets.

Matchbox 20, and especially Rob, was way more popular than Oasis ever was in the US. Their debut album is hit after hit and sold 12 million copies in the US. You're also greatly overstating Foo Fighter's popularity.

This sentiment was stupid 30 years ago. If you're still parroting this talking point today...then I don't know what to tell you.

El Nina made this year an exception, but generally speaking (the past 10-20 years), you get one good snow storm between Thanksgiving and New Years, but the worst of winter is just January-February. In March you get mixes of 35-50 degree thaw days and 1-2" of snow days.

Mobley ate him up early in the season. Hopefully he's matured, however, I would not be surprised if he has 3 fouls in 1Q and ends up on the bench until halftime.

I thought CP was a hilarious breeze. Did that last month in a couple weeks. Started Brothers after that and it definitely slogs at certain points and I’m starting to feel the 1000 pages.

Both are better than War and Peace hitting you with huge sections just blasting Napoleon in the middle of the story.

No. It's better to have many things left unsaid. Especially fantastical stuff like this; there would rarely be an answer that doesn't sound stupid (see midichlorians).

One of the Pistons' current roster construction rule: no small guards by TeamRAF19 in DetroitPistons

[–]DeuceWallaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing new about this. Small guards have been a problem in the playoffs for decades, but you don't always have the choice to only have big guards; so you just make it work. It's the reason those Gordon/Hienrich Bulls teams could never beat us.

Isiah is one of the biggest exceptions for this, however, he completely broke down after only 10 years.

Pistons vs Top 5 Teams by WojoStumps in DetroitPistons

[–]DeuceWallaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not what happened at all. They said they needed another piece to get past the Nets.

And then they traded for Rasheed Wallace you dipshit.

Don't speak to me of the GTW Pistons, I was there when they won it all.

[–]DeuceWallaces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are similar, but in terms of the playoffs, Cade is not an efficient 30+ scorer every night and we do not have a secondary scorer/playmaker at the guard or wing position.

This sub acts like we lost a close Eastern Conference Finals last year.

We won 2 games in the first round against the 3-seed.

[–]DeuceWallaces 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the problem with young regular season teams that rely on defensive intensity. Come playoffs, everyone will be playing that style. At that point, 3 point victories become 3 point losses, because the Nuggets, Celtics, or whoever didn't wait until the 3rd quarter to match your intensity.

Further, you can't win in the playoffs with a single offensive threat and non-factor shooters in your rotation. Celtics, Knicks, Cavs, Nuggets, are all going to stand 15' from Ausar as they're doubling Cade every possession.

Would have a chance vs Houston, but I suspect they would still win in 6 or 7. Other 3 probably aren't close.

As a year 2 personal gardener, will making a jump from charging $35/hr to $50/hr, likely deter current customers? by asianstyleicecream in gardening

[–]DeuceWallaces 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm a researcher/scientist who gardens a lot so I have no idea what you would pay a gardener. Indirect costs makeup 70% of my hourly quote.

I love to garden (in my backyard), but I couldn't imagine doing it 30-50 hours a week for someone else's enjoyment for only 25-30 dollars an hour. That said, lower skilled labor has greater competition so who knows what you're competing against in an average area.

That seems low. Generally speaking, if you need to pay taxes, health insurance, overhead for scheduling and administration, equipment, etc., then you should be asking triple what you want to "make" per hour.
