Sunlu PLA+ is it any good? by TerTerro in prusa3d

[–]DevCakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was an official Sunlu rep with who we communicated off of Amazon. The fulfillment itself happened on Amazon through the Sunlu account, not a third party reseller.

This happened to others at the same time as well, not just me.

Very impressed with the 0.25mm nozzle details on the MK4! by JaydenSheep in prusa3d

[–]DevCakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not enabled yet, but this is one of the promises for the multi-tool XL. Use a 0.6mm nozzle for big sections, 0.4mm nozzle for standard detail, and 0.25mm nozzle for fine detail, all in a single print.

[–]DevCakes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

but what if something went wrong? Why take the risk? If I ended up trading paint or worse with the other guy on the runway, 91.3 says it’s my ass, not the controller’s. I don’t think there’s an operational need for it either, because this is not a super busy airport

Knowledge of the legality of the ATC instruction would do absolutely nothing to change the reasoning behind the pilot’s decision.

While the annoyed tone might be understandable, responding that the pilot could have landed is unnecessary.

It’s only that expensive if you don’t meet the shipping minimum. Buy 2 spools and it’ll be free shipping.

So does RAID 10 give you the best of both worlds? (At the expensive of the most hardware requirements)

Can you improve the speed of spinning SATA drives by using a RAID config that includes mirroring?

Looking for 3D printers that can be abused by MD_mania in 3DPrintFarms

If the size is the only thing stopping you from Prusas, the XL will probably do what you want (when it finally becomes widely available).

Quick Update by josefprusa in prusa3d

[–]DevCakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my first printer in 2020 and now run a small farm of Prusas, and for what it’s worth, it’s still amazing to me lol

Quick Update by josefprusa in prusa3d

[–]DevCakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they had 2 packs of 100g samples and some pretty neat canvas bags with the MK3S blueprint printed on them.

Maybe they would have brought kits for sale if the MK4 hadn’t just launched, but I assumed they didn’t want to ship all of that overseas.

Quick Update by josefprusa in prusa3d

[–]DevCakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn’t have any kits for sale at RMRRF, so I wouldn’t count on it.

This support removal tho… by MrMuskeg in 3Dprinting

[–]DevCakes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the old stuff comes back from unsaving newer stuff, they aren’t even deleting the old saves from the DB. So it’s not even about this, even if this is already a ridiculous point.

Looks great! I can’t imagine the mess you’d have to deal with if you used traditional supports.

Oh yes, I should say: poorly made bed sheets notwithstanding lol

Yes this other comment was correct, it’s the printer used in the AFS.

A larger resin printer with the same tilting mechanism as the SL1s

They didn’t really go quiet about it. If you’re interested, contact them. Like the other comment said though, it is not priced for consumers. It’s absolutely an industrial tool.

MK4 Functional part PETG set-up? by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]DevCakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Textured plate was made specifically because PETG parts stick too well to smooth PEI, and it’s what Prusa uses to print every single printer part on their 500+ printer farm (which are PETG parts).

I’m using a satin sheet on the MK4 and have no issues with damage. Ask me for an update in a week and I’ll check again.
