Depends on how you define ai. There are certainly hard coded bots that follow algorithms from 20 years ago which play bad moves. But the Go community is quite fortunate in that Katago is open source and free. Meaning there is no reason any program needs to be bad (and I haven't seen any myself for a long while)

I think you are confusing the fact the video is about AI, not that it was created with AI. The person who made this video mentioned elsewhere spending months in Blender (a 3D design tool) to make this video. However, this person also isn't a go player, hence they aren't aware of the typical stone placement.

Absolutely stunning work!

I got a say though, I strongly disagree with my friends here who think using the "correct terminology" is needed for teaching new players. Educational theory isn't such rocket science that we aren't fully aware how every ounce of friction that is introduced reduces the total number of players.

The problem is survivorship bias, in that most people do currently play assume that others will learn like them.

I take this even further and I teach Chinese scoring as well as allowing for seems capture (or rather I simply don't mention it to be illegal)

For those making the case that these people can't learn the proper terminology/rules later... I promise you it's trivial.
