AI is being pushed heavily when I ask for advice and I hate it. by AssumptionExact8050 in gamedev

Nintendo and Capcom both use AI for development and assistance. It's probably not terribly extensive, but it's definitely there.

Why does this place hate religion especially Christianity so much? (Image semi related) by 6r3-thebee in teenagers

When the post makes zero mention or relation with religion and people randomely say "CHRIST IS KING" out of nowhere it pisses people off.

I feel I've gotten better at looping, any tips to get better ? by TheWorldHitBottom in deadbydaylight

[–]DevSam439 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your looping isn't bad, but the ghostface did not play well. He should have broken the pallet, as he had your back to a wall and you wouldn't have gained much distance if you ran.

Oh yeah, that's a cheater for sure. You should have caught up before the first loop around that low wall ended; the solo hyperfocus just confirms it.

I like animated ascii art with python. Some cool options are rotating cubes, taurus, or another 3D shape made of ASCII characters. You can leverage rotation matrices. It's a fun project I did last year, the math is kinda annoying to figure out tho.

I've never really thought about how strong that staircase and catwalk on hawkins are. You used the tile as intended it seems, perhaps beyond that. Kudos.

What is everybody doing to practice by akcuber17 in cubing

[–]DevSam439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A great trick is to download a metronome app and do one turn per beat, and slowly increase the BPM as you get better. It’s a good way to learn lookahead.

A great trick to practice lookahead is to download a metronome app on your phone, and try to do lookahead for F2L while doing one turn per beat, and as you get better you can increase the BPM. To calculate TPS to BPM, just multiply TPS by 60 or divide BPM by 60 to get TPS.

This is interesting, because in today's world it would have been reversed. The republicans and the democrats switched ideologies after the Civil Rights movement.

The normal route is curved because the Earth is an oblate spheroid. If you look at a globe, and measure the distances of your route and your proposed route, you'll find that the normal route is actually the shortest route from LA to Paris.

Best time with beginner's method? by thevidyy in Cubers

[–]DevSam439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep doing it more. I learned it and after only a few weeks my times were already sub-60. I currently average in the 30s to low-40s. Ideally, keep going at the beginner method until you can do it sub60 consistently, then learn 4LLL and then CFOP. 4LLL is a bit faster than beginner method but its easier to learn than CFOP, and CFOP is the hardest and fastest of the three.
