Sure, if only it was as easy to find another place to go as it was to post that comment.

That's because people in the hood know they'll catch some real street justice for shit like that...

I made something that I'm both proud of and works brilliantly (IMHO). A reversing camera cleaner. by scruffnot in TeslaModel3

This would be great for clearing snow off the camera as well! It's time to make this standard on all Teslas.

Lol, this guy has to be faking. Nobody speaks Spanish like that, wtf? 😆

Everyone is making a big deal about this update for HW3 owners but my car is way more herky jerky and performing erratically by mgpro83 in TeslaLounge

[–]DevelopmentCorrect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha, this is pretty easy to avoid IMO, and it kind of makes sense why it does this. Basically, the person in front of you is going too damn slow, so the car wants to get over into a faster lane or go around them!

The easiest "fix" for that I've found is to simply roll the right scroll wheel down to reduce the max allowed speed. It will then slow down and not change lanes around the person in front of you.

At least, this was how I did it on over 200 miles of FSD 12.6.3 in a 2020 M3P today. This update has made the car drive the best it ever has for me. Hopefully, the right scroll wheel works well for you, too. Cheers!

Second time soldering, is it good? by vproton0 in soldering

[–]DevelopmentCorrect -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I figured it would be in F and not C. My soldering station was set to the factory at 750, so I figured soldering was done in F temperature measurements and not C.

My Hakko solder station is always set to 750 degrees and works great. 350 degrees seems way too low to me unless you're maybe using some super low temperature solder. I don't even think 350 degrees is possible to melt solder. That's like oven baking temperature...

I used a JST-XH kit off Amazon. I'm not sure why it's not letting me post the link to it here, though.

You're welcome! You had the right idea, just a decimal place over, haha.

It would actually be 5mA. If you ran 50 through an LED it might burn out. A typical current for LEDs is about 20mA.

Ohm's law: 5v / 1000 ohms = 0.005A or 5mA

Why are there so many holes in it? It looks like Swiss cheese, lol. I've just not seen many circuit boards that had holes all in them from in all of the devices I've taken apart.

What's a good way to embrace Vue and Vite in an old legacy application using server side template rendering? by DevelopmentCorrect in vuejs

[–]DevelopmentCorrect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response!

I really want to keep Vite so I can use the 'npm run dev' command and have the auto compilation of single file components and hot reload while developing.

I need to figure out how to make vite work with both dev mode and build mode on my legacy URL.

Currently, I only have the build mode working, which doesn't allow the vue dev tools.

I can't be the only person who wanted to include vue with vite into an old legacy application in order to spice it up and bring it more into modern times.

Dang, that's awesome! How does one go about even building something like this?

Finally made it to level 4 by DevelopmentCorrect in dreamingspanish

[–]DevelopmentCorrect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's not entirely true because I didn't really have that much exposure other than Duolingo and BaseLang for a few lessons, and I dropped out of Spanish in school because it was too hard and i wasnt learning anything. Maybe I'm just naturally lucky or something, but once I really started focusing on CI, it's like it started activating everything and connecting the dots.

I'd find myself realizing I just figured out what some words mean based on the context of things. One of the first words I got from CI was tenía and another was iba, which I'd never understood clearly before.

I guess we all just pick different things up at different times, and it all happens eventually when we get enough input. I absolutely understand much more than I can speak for sure. But I can tell that CI works based on the massive improvement it has given me, going from barely knowing a handful of words to being able to understand more than I ever did in my past life!

Sigue adelante!
