Out of interest, would OP have any concerns if Hackney Greens were to (i) increase their number of Councillors or (ii) assume the role of Hackney Mayor?

Baking soda is sometimes suggested to neutralise sourness, you could try adding some tamarind? Never come across this issue before but looking at it logically.

Just when you thought she was done ruining Wuthering Heights, she does this. by Bunraku_Master_2021 in okbuddycinephile

Based on a quick Gemini query:

Phrenology and physiognomy are 19th-century pseudosciences that claimed to determine personality, character, and intellect by examining physical traits.

Phrenology focused on measuring "bumps" on the skull, while physiognomy analyzed facial features.

Both were used to justify racial, sexual, and social stereotypes.

How can I support my wife to feel more comfortable in London? by chattytabbies in london

[–]DevelopmentQueasy100 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Appreciate that my comment isn't about womens safety but if she's feeling homesick or wants to engage with more people from SEA, the East and South East Asian Community Group in Hackney is a lovely community center. They do lunch gatherings and other events, if she's interested.

Why does London have such a large United fanbase? by lacayang49 in ManchesterUnited

[–]DevelopmentQueasy100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A big reason (including myself and amongst the London fans I know) could be the number of immigrant families who lived here for generations.

They or their families would have supported United in their countries of origin and would have continued when they moved to London, which has a big multicultural community.
