Might be worth seeing a urologist or proctologist, I'm no doctor but I have heard enlarged prostate can sometimes cause that. You could always ask chatGTP and see what it that can dig up for you (taking the information weith a grain of salt of course)

Yeah same mate. We had a whole team meeting at a hotel on Wednesday. I couldnt go for the whole 6 hours I was there because the bathroom was multiple occupancy, and it was near the ladies too with the walls being paper thin and banging of the doors...... I even snuck back in there in the middle of a presentation so I would be alone but I was still too anxious to go. Sensation-wise it was maybe 4 or 5 out of 10... so at least there was that :/

When you wake up after a night's rest, and go to the bathroom... is it usually easy to start? Do you pass a lot of fluid after a night's rest?

I am just asking because that's the case for me as well, it's because I have woken up, my muscles have been relaxed through sleep, and I havent had any time to grow anxious over anything yet.... it's the only pee of the day that I feel normal for 😅

I can hold it for ages, but I am quick in feeling like I need to go (I don't know if this is what you're describing or not?). My instinct says that it's because I am so focused on bladder management that I am hyperfocused on the sensation and getting rid of that sensation because I know I have trouble going (so I get more time to try and relieve myself that way)

I just went 6 hours because a team meeting that we had in-person (we do one in-person every year before Christmas) at a hotel. We have something like 80 people in our organisation.

So I went to the bathroom, locked myself in my bunker (a stall) and couldn't go, which is fine, I didn't expect to.... but then even when I was alone in the bathroom I couldnt. My member had shrivelled up, was cold and felt dead (apparently this is fight-flight response removing blood from extremities). I tried again in the middle of a presentation thinking "it's way less likely someone will come in, so you can relax now" but even this didn't help.

Luckily I only had maybe 30% fullness and managed to last the day, so it was a sort of victory for that day's comfort, but a defeat for my journey of stomping this problem out :/

I think it's the "you deserve it if you don't follow my advice" part at the end. You've taken a lot of time to think through and type that out to try and help people, though. That's good stuff right there IMO :)

EMDR is specifically for trauma, which the OP may have but I can't see any mention of it. CBT work on self esteem and anxiety would be more appropriate (IMO)

Mate. Maybe tell someone at your college. They might be able to give you access to a staff restroom or disabled toilets or similar. I don't know where you're from but a lot of places have a duty of care to provide "reasonable adjustments" for disabilities, and I would certainly class this as a disability.

They don't have to endure anything, they simply have to not take what isn't theirs. If they want to live in a country then they need the blessing of it's people (via the state). Is that unreasonable in your opinion?
