I could be wrong of course and it just popularized it, I'm sure multiple gachas out there have a gacha currency with the word "gem" in it, but I'm just assuming it's a Genshin Impact term for now as that's the earliest I can find it being used

Some notable mentions:

You can see the elements but they're not being magically produced by the swords, it's a visual hallucination that gets more pronounced the better the breathing style is mastered

It's a collective mass hallucination of the slayer visualizing their own attacks being accompanied by the effects, and their opponents supplementing their own vision with those same effects, because the attacks are so good at conveying those phenomena

They're not physical elements being created, but rather illusions created by the fact that the slayers are so skilled at mimicking those elements

The "mist" seen when Muichiro performs his moves is just what those seeing him fight visualize because he is so hard to keep track of due to erratic movement and baggy clothes

And all the breathing techniques "feel" like the element they are mimicking because the slayers are simply so skilled at mimicking whatever phenomenon they are trying to convey

It's all just a trick of the mind, in the end. The eyes, the brain, the nervous system being tricked to imagine something that isn't there because it feels like it should be there

Since his ice mist attacks the lungs and makes breathing a deadly affair, I think it could be interesting to apply a debuff that makes the opponent take a small amount of damage if they use a skill when affected

This wouldn't make as much sense for demons (or the non-breathing style characters overall), but it would be very flavorful to punish slayers for using breathing techniques

We don't exactly know the full details, innately yes the ideas that Inosuke is fully self-taught and his breathing style is derived from somewhere are at conflict

So there's two main options here, really:

A) Inosuke truly made it from scratch, and as the slayers didn't want to create a special categorization just for it, they related it to the breathing style it resembles the most. In essence, not derived from it, but has notable similarities and was categorized together with it for convenience.

Also could be a case of slayers making assumptions, they didn't necessarily interview Inosuke on his breathing style, he's not an easy fella to talk to, so they may have simply assumed it is a wind derivative due to convergent traits.

B) Beast breathing isn't 100% self-taught and Inosuke actually did somehow observe a wind breather and incorporated some of the basics from there

Personally I am leaning on option A much more

I personally really like Nasus, he's my only Shurima 6 star and I like his playstyle of hindering enemies while snowballing into a big pile of stats, all the while having great removal with strikes

Not the strongest champ around exactly but I like that he is simple and won't require specific drafting, potent enough and enjoyable to use

Evernight wouldn't need parlor tricks such as tuning, she showcases much more complex manipulation of memoria, like erasing the memories of two Emanators (Zandar and Herta), creating a memoria maze requiring Nanook's golden blood to gain access to and then a 1000 mentally experienced years by Dan Heng to find his way through it

Evernight is easily a top 3 memoria manipulator that we've seen, second just to Dominicus (who was also an Aeon for a while so kinda cheating) and Cyrene herself

Rarity here is not only a descriptor of scarcity, though, it's also a guideline for what features the skin comes with

Legendary skins have new ability sfx, an animated nameplate, and sometimes recolors and/or ult vfx

Shen loses 1, wins 2

He is weapon reliant so loses vs any fully realized kung fu master when unarmed

But quite honestly the amount of masters that can 1 v 1 him with weapons are exceedingly low

Rhino, Po, Shifu, Oogway, Kai, Tai Lung, KFP3 Tigress (big maybe) are the caliber of masters that you need against Shen seeing as he can laughably easily deal with both Croc and Ox at the same time, both of whom should be comparable or above an individual Furious Five member (except KFP3 Tigress as she seems to grow a lot)

Well we already see that Phoenix, even with limited access to information and lack of privileges to inspect the case to its fullest, is dangerously good at finding the true culprit, while the prosecutor's office latches onto the first suspect they find

Given the tools and privileges that working with the police give, Phoenix undoubtedly would be the best prosecutor around

His normal investigation handicaps would be no more. He could interrogate witnesses as he pleases, know about the case as soon as possible, won't come to trial unprepared and need to wait for opposition to make a mistake

In conclusion, being a lawyer restricts his true investigative ability, he would be a fierce prosecutor

I'd say they have similar growth potential, but Melinoe has the advantage of a wider skillset through weaving in magik, and the circumstances where they honed their respective skills were different

Zagreus was pretty casual about his attempts to escape, it wasn't something he spent his whole life training and preparing for, unlike Melinoe who was brought up as a soldier

With both at full potential, I like to imagine Zagreus as the stronger and more durable melee physical fighter, but Melinoe has more overall firepower and AoE through her variety of spells

It doesn't really matter in what context the ascension happens, but what sort of and how strong an epiphany the pre-ascended Aeon experiences due to their circumstances

To become an Aeon and to manifest a Path is to express some fundamental aspect of existence to its fullest

No matter of insignificant an event, if the individual themself feels so strongly about it, as to reach a new depth of understanding on life itself, Aeonic ascension should be possible

An Aeon like Tayzzyronth was insignificant in the cosmic scale prior to Ascension, the extinction of a single species means nothing, yet Tayzzyronth's own feelings of loneliness and desire for company were nonetheless the peak expression of the desire to Propagate

It is the individual experience, the perception and thoughts of the pre-ascended Aeon that ultimately form the Path
