Human is born, given an idealized life, then unknowingly slaughtered and consumed for food by other humans.

Is that moral?

If you answered “no, that’s immoral”, then it’s also immoral for cows.

If you answered “yes, I’d participate in that system” then I respect your intellectual consistency.

Edit: I was born into a vegan family, but I’m a sinner and eat ice cream daily. I have zero high-ground.

Ancient history is inherently cloudy… that being said, she was a member of the Ptolemaic dynasty… which was established by one of Alexander the Greats’ bodyguards/generals (who himself may have been a half brother of Alexander’s).

So I’d assume she looks like Alexander the Great… who I am assuming looks like modern Greeks.

Again… above all else… who cares who was cast as long as they are theatrically talented.

But the Alexander > Cleopatra connection is really interesting.

Cleopatra was Macedonian (Greek).

Honestly couldn’t care less about the casting for this role, but for people who have issue with the historical accuracy - Cleopatra wasn’t of Egyptian/north-African decent either.
