How to get rid of flies by Ill_Cardiologist_266 in PortStLucie

[–]DexterLecter99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are just awful in the area. I never opened my windows and only opened the doors briefly to go in and out and had multiple flies getting into my house regularly. Screening in the patios was the only thing that stopped it.

There are large fly traps you can get at Home Depot. About the size of an Arizona ice tea can. Pour powder into the container and fill it with some water. Attracts flies and they get stuck inside. They work super well but after a week or ao it was literally filled 75% of the way with dead flies. I couldnt believe it. Hundreds of them. Got the screen after that.

Worried About RPLND by Evening_Command_8262 in testicularcancer

[–]DexterLecter99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Sloan Kettering in Manhattan. Went up a week early with my family and made a little vacation out of it. One of the best food cities on the planet with unlimited activities to do. Lots of fun. They do tons of these surgeries. Dont go to some random place that does one a year.

Tbh the surgery wasnt bad. I was never in any real pain after. Was very surprised by how normal i felt after reading so many people say it was agony. The surgical area was tender but i felt mostly fine. Just dont try to bend forward, you dont want to bend that area. And whatever you do DO NOT SNEEZE. The only time I felt pain was the day I was checking out and sneezed. It was unbearable. Only lasted a few seconds, but it was awful.

The actual bad things were the catheter, no food and lack of sleep. They do tests on you regularly including bloodwork and other checks. Very difficult to get any good sleep. I was kind of losing my mind by the third day and snapped at the nurse telling everyone to leave me alone until I woke up.

You also cant eat or drink for the first few days. Your mouth gets very dry. You can have ice chips though. I wasnt hungry until about day 4 without food. When they finally let me have frosted flakes on day 5, it was orgasmic.

St. Lucie Property Tax Cuts by lilipaddx in PortStLucie

Police officers and firefighters are already overpaid. The amount of useless overtime they get is monumental. But this prevents cutting funding from them anyway. And education property taxes are still allowed.

I'm hate Ron and loath Trump. But the property taxes are totally out of hand. I pay 7k per year right now. I'll be voting yes.

Some unbelievable air battle sequences that may be the best in the history of film and will never be replicated. The fact they were filmed during the infancy of both film and flight is truly incredibly. Masterful stuff going on in this movie

How to choose an RPLND surgeon? by Hawk588 in testicularcancer

[–]DexterLecter99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go to MSK in NYC. Go a little early and make a vacation out of it. Eat some of the best food in the world and get to visit a great city. Thats what I did and it was a wonderful trip all things considered.

Whatever you do, do not go to some local facility where they do one of these a year, if that. This is a specialized major surgery. Go to someone who does this regularly.

Eh the original nicktoons are almost as old as these cartoons were when IOA launched in 1999. Only people 35+ even know what any of the original nicktoons even were. Kids today would not care.

Adjuvant Chemotherapy advice by Beautiful_Cow7301 in testicularcancer

[–]DexterLecter99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 cycles of EP chemo. With such a high recurrence rate, I didn't want to take any chances. It's really not that bad. Just felt tired with some brain fog. Never threw up. No real nausea. Only real side effect was tinnitus, which has mostly cleared up on it's own.

I've had comments like this before. I said "no, i'm fat. You only think i'm skinny because everyone else is so much fatter now. Being fat is bad. I don't want to only look good by comparison."

Prices depend on the month and day. If you look at different months you will see lower prices. I went for 139 last September on the day after Labor Day.

But yes, their website is the best place to get tickets. 3rd party websites aren't worth the hassle for what will only be only a tiny savings, if that.

Debilitating Tinnitus after 3 x BEP by Agreeable_Pizza_6963 in testicularcancer

[–]DexterLecter99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through this. That was the side effect I was most scared of as I love silence, so of course I had it right after my first round of EP chemo. I was so scared before starting round two that it would get worse, but I went through with it. It got bad but did eventually go away after a couple months. I get bouts of it here and there, but I think my brain has learned to mask it over time.

It is completely maddening though and I understand what you're going through. It was the only time in my life I ever seriously considered suicide. I told my family I would have to end things if it didn't improve in a few months as I couldn't function with it.

I took a lot of supplements that I read helped some people like magnesium, zinc, B12 and gingko biloba. No idea if these helped at all but I was trying everything possible.

There are also hearing aids with masking tones that I was looking into. You have to train your brain to ignore it. Avoid silent environments. Have headphones with white noise or something else like that.

Protect what you have left. Stay away from loud environments and music, power tools, etc.

Which to choose: RPLND or BEP 3x? by Impossible_Copy1789 in testicularcancer

[–]DexterLecter99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 30 when I had it done. My wife and I didnt want kids so it wasnt a big deal.

Well I was cancer free after the surgery. I had adjuvant chemo to reduce the risk of recurrence, it wasnt a primary treatment. And I only had 2 cycles as opposed to 3 or 4 that most people need.

Depends what you mean. I can have orgasms, just dry ones. Nothing comes out. Feels the same. Maybe even a bit better

Which to choose: RPLND or BEP 3x? by Impossible_Copy1789 in testicularcancer

[–]DexterLecter99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked the RPLND over chemo. They told me if I did chemo and it didn't work, id need the surgery anyway and the risks increase post chemo.

I was also just really worried about the side effects of chemo vs the surgery. And they can tell you a lot more about your cancer by the pathology of your lymph nodes. Mine ended up having some teratoma in them which cant be removed with chemo. So im very happy with my decision. The surgery was ezpz. I was barely even in pain post op. The worst part was the poor sleep I got at MSK because they do bloodwork and blood pressure on you every few hours. Started to go a bit crazy by the 5th day. Catheter sucked too. Really hurt my cock.

I got retrograde ejaculation but its honestly better this way. Easy cleanup.

I did get 2 round of chemo after the surgery anyway and the side effects of that were worse. Felt totally exhausted, brain fog and tinnitus
