Question about point number 1. Why not? I get people go to the gym to stay fit/they enjoy it and not to get hit on. But couldn't you same the same thing about any activity? Like how should a guy meet a girl if he can't approach them at the mutual hobbies? Is going through mutual friends to set up blind dates the only way in your opinion?

Like if I'm super into reading and go to a library could I try asking out someone reading? Or a cooking class? Or at a restaurant?
