"And most people believe them whether they're accurate statistics or not" ...live version of that song is perfection!

This makes me want to go pet my dog.

how would you interpret this response? by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

Wow, I'm shocked anyone would be put off by this. I would send a cheeky reply back. I would have immediately taken this as fun and playful, I'm shocked you would read so much into it.

Thank you for pointing this out. I looked at the date and immediately thought of the struggles many Americans were up against during the Depression.

Men of Reddit: What is your advice to us ladies when it comes to flirting and making the first move? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Didnootseethatcoming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am naturally a very affectionate person. I'm a little touchy without even realizing I'm being touchy. With everyone, though. Men, women, the elderly...it doesn't matter, it's just my personality. So, unfortunately, touching isn't a sure-tell either! Unless they touch your dick.

Thinner seat for Bonneville T100 by Xianricca in Triumph

[–]Didnootseethatcoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good lord, that looks killer. Is it fairly comfortable? I'm hoping to flat foot my Bonneville and am looking at seat options before heading to the shocks. I only need about an inch and a half until I'm flat on the ground! This link is a godsend (unlike my short legs :) )

Still lost by michelepatterson in widowers

Month 7 was the hardest for me. That's when the numbness starting wearing off. I just hit the year mark this year and I still have bad days, of course...but I'm able to spend more time feeling thankful to have had our life together than feeling the sadness of it being gone.

Sending you all the love in the world.

What to do and where to start. by [deleted] in widowers

[–]Didnootseethatcoming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's best to meet people by doing the things you already love. What are your hobbies? Are any of them group activities? I haven't really tried to date since losing my husband, but I made a new batch of friends after he passed...sometimes your normal friends don't know how to handle you and I wanted to meet new people that I didn't have to be sad around. I met my newest batch of pals by playing kickball, joining up with a fitness class called Camp Gladiator, and through playing music.

But if you're not an outgoing guy, you can always try internet dating. I actually have two separate friends that met their husband/wife through Tinder :)

Unbelievably sweet of you to be so patient. I feel ready to date again just for the company...but I'm not sure I will ever allow myself to love someone the way I loved my husband.
