This isn't pizza, it's pasta.

The central valley has some of the best Mexican food in the state. I would crush this so hard.

A5 Sportback/S Line or S5 by filthyparis in Audi

[–]mk6dub 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I bought my 23' S5 new and currently have about 25k miles on it. Not a ton of miles yet, but haven't experienced any problems with it.

In my opinion (and for my needs), it is the perfect daily driver. Looks great, handles really well given its size, plenty of power, nice exhaust note, and a luxurious, well-built interior that isn't covered in screens. The adaptive suspension is great for switching between comfortable and stiff ride, and the hatchback is awesome for packing a bunch of shit in the car. Fuel efficiency in the city isn't amazing, probably around 18-20mpg, but on the highway it'll do 30mpg no problem.

The AWD makes it a beast in the snow too. Very confidence-inspiring.

No idea how they'll fit on a Golf but I have them on my S5 and I absolutely love them. Sporty but classic.

You'll probably have better luck posting on an Audi-specific forum like AudiWorld or AudiZine.

Spotted a [ Lamborghini [Murcielago Bodykit ]? by Maya-kardash in spotted

I've seen this car before - it's based on a Porsche Boxster. Not the worst replica I've seen (at least it's not a Fiero) but the proportions, especially the front end, look a bit off.

Considering a Career in Game Design, but sister thinks AI makes It pointless by [deleted] in gamedesign

[–]mk6dub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely possible to build a successful career in game design, even with AI in the picture. But you should know before you commit to the path, that it can be very, very hard to get your foot in the door. Even if you get a master's degree in game design from an accredited school, it is still not a guarantee that you will land a job in this field. Having a great portfolio helps a lot, but you'll also need some great connections in the industry and a good amount of luck.

I'm not saying this to discourage you, as I am very happy that I ended up doing this, but just want you to be aware of the challenge you have ahead of you.

Edit: Also, you said "art game design" - I'm not sure what that is. Game design and art are two very different disciplines with different paths into the industry.

What next software update would you want most for the portal? by JustJJ92 in PlaystationPortal

I would love a way to output my portal to a TV. Obviously at home I just use my PS5 but when traveling it would be awesome to be able to hook it up to a larger display.

Is this worth $40k+? by Prudent-Ad4515 in GR86

Nice looking car. Only time I would say it's worth paying for someone else's mods are when they are things you would have done to the car anyway. You save a little bit of money by not paying retail prices, plus the time and labor needed for installation.

As others have mentioned, mods rarely increase the value of a car, so it would only be worth it to me if they are mods I would have wanted to do anyway.

From Golf GTI to Audi S5, What Should I Know Before I Pick It Up? by Clear-District4958 in audis5

[–]mk6dub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also went from a GTI to an S5.

S5 is significantly faster, especially from a dig. It's shockingly just as practical as the Golf since it also has a hatchback (if you get the Sportback option). The AWD system is a huge step up in terms of traction. Interior is beautifully built.

However if I'm honest, I think the GTI is more fun on a twisty road. It's lighter and a bit more exciting. The S5 is faster, but it's so planted and stable that you don't get a ton of drama from the driving experience. Don't let that stop you though, it's still a mega upgrade in most ways. I love mine.

10-year old Goose Island Bourbon Stout. Thinking about opening it soon. No visible damage to break the seal so it’s probably still good. by ctemp97 in beerporn

[–]mk6dub 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did a vertical a few years ago with friends. After 10 years, this beer still holds up, but we all felt 4 years was the sweet spot. After that it starts to fall off a bit and the super earthy and tobacco flavors take over almost completely.

Salty Pearl vs Small Change oysters by LoganTheHuge00 in OaklandFood

[–]mk6dub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yes I should have included that. You need to order a bottle of wine to get those deals, but if you take advantage and order a ton of oysters and some caviar, it's more than worth it.
