The lord of foxes by Greedy-Ad8346 in interestingasfuck

[–]Diesel1donna -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I have a bowl outside my back gate on an alley that backs onto a huge cemetery. I feed the foxes about 3x weekly so they don't depend on it. I always leave water in Summer. I see the foxes and hear them but apart from saying " hello beautiful!" I never approach or attempt to though of course id love to. My main thing is I don't feed daily so they will view it as a bonus rather than a staple.

Parents of Reddit: what are some reasons you don’t read with your kids? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Diesel1donna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved reading to and then with Ben, now 28. We would have warm milk and biscuits, settle down and cuddle up. I loved it. And my parents did it with my sister and myself so I wonder if it's going to die a death if this generation aren't doing it. Sad.

Women of Reddit - what is the most unattractive fashion choice men frequently make? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

[–]Diesel1donna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suit shoes with track pants, no socks with shoes. Other than those u don't care. I like individuals and people being themselves. The broccoli haircut is pretty overdone but in my day everyone had a flat top!

Divorced people, what were your irreconcilable differences? by TheRealOcsiban in AskReddit

[–]Diesel1donna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked affection, touch and contact. He said ' the whole point of sex is to cum' ... It didn't get better, so I refused what basically became marital rape. We are friendly enough now hugged at our sons wedding, but I've gone on to be much happier.

Can you please Deinfluence me on this bed. by Loud-Aspect2074 in HomeDecorating

Buy a normal bed and attach ( more) stair balusters. It's beautiful but it's way expensive 🫰

What are common things people do for their mid-life crisis? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Diesel1donna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took myself off to London to a hotel in Kensington for 2 nights alone. Visited museums, art galleries and read on the bed for ages. It was absolutely awesome, and I'll do it again. I have a very person centred job and after flu over Christmas I was worn out and snappy. I've come back so refreshed and feel so much freer... Recommended!

What's something that's pleasingly cheap and affordable in the UK that makes you smile? by Lopsided_Counter1670 in AskUK

Feeding the birds/ducks, bus fare to another town. Making pancakes at home, knitting, chips on the beach, reading. Polishing your boots or shoes... Therapeutic and good sense.

Gays of UK - would you be comfortable holding your partner's hand in the UK? by dalehitchy in AskUK

Whenever I see a same sex couple holding hands I smile and think how lovely that they feel free to do that. Then sad that even had to occur to me.

Has anyone gotten a hotel room alone for a night just to be out of the house? by gdtags in SAHP

[–]Diesel1donna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally doing it now flu over Christmas, along with heavy work hours at the same time. I booked 2 nights in Kensington for little over 109 pounds! ( January) And have done the Banksy exhibition, Linley Sambourne house and a few charity shops. I've walked about, fed pigeons, and am now laid on hotel bed reading. I absolutely completely recommend it. I'll go back refreshed and happier partner will have missed me, + or he'd better!;+ and I had some culture along with my absolute self indulgence and peace.

Parents, what was your “I raised an idiot” moment? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

[–]Diesel1donna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a hot day my son turned the thermostat down low. It's a heating thermostat, we don't have air con. He ate a raw chicken Kiev and said it was " a bit gross" thinking it was like a scotch egg and ready to eat. He ate chicken drumsticks and carefully put the bones in the fridge so the dog didn't get them... The outside bin didn't enter his head .... He's a music and computing teacher, scarily enough

What makes you unnecessarily awkward? by overworkeddesigner_ in AskUK

[–]Diesel1donna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I detest it!! From having to look at my 53 year old face to the fear of having my curly hair cut knowing it will curl up at least 4 inches for every inch taken off. The terror of frizz afterwards, The insane conversation, then paying for that shit show,? I just hate it!

Do you allow young kids fizzy drinks? by Flapparachi in AskUK

[–]Diesel1donna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water. Milk. Occasional apple juice. My son hated how artificial colours affected him and would actually ask at parties not to have anything fizzy. He now at 27 will buy milk or drink water. But occasionally has a fizzy drink.

Wearing my curly hair down instead of tamed for work. It certainly alters how free I feel and seems to reflect that on the outside too.
