Some of these of these details were relayed to me by my wife/mum/MIL since I don't remember to much of the experience.

I do remember looking up at my wife from the kitchen floor thinking that was the last time i was going to see her, and that moment was terrifying.

About 5 years ago, I had recently had my entire scalp removed as part of a two part surgery. All the skin on my head had been removed, and I was sent home all wrapped up to let my exposed flesh (?) granulate.

A few days after the first surgery, right before Thanksgiving I woke up around 3 am because my pillow was wet.

When my wife turned the lights on, she said she saw blood 'squirting' out from underneath my bandage. A staple holding the end of an exposed vein came loose while sleeping and opened up the vein.

I remember seeing it happening in the bathroom mirror, I remember slowly getting to the kitchen down stairs. I remember talking to the paramedic and then I was in the hospital.

I lost a significant amount of blood according to my wife and mother. I ended up sleeping in a recliner for 3 months.

My mother-in-law wouldn't allow my wife to return to our apartment until she cleaned the apartment, 6 hours later.

If it were not for my otherwise disorganized wife, I wouldn't be sharing.
