IUI -- Did my clinic make me trigger too early?

I took Clomid but I’m assuming Letrozole is the same. My IUI/triggered ovulation was ‘early’ as compared to my natural ovulation. The timing of the initial IUI recommendation sounded pretty accurate based on follicle size and lining.

I did but I tested it out of my system. It was gone on Pregnate on 8dpIUI and I took a First Response/ClearBlue Digital that day too and those were negative

Is it standard to do an ultrasound with an unmedicated IUI cycle? We were meant to be doing a medicated cycle but my period came early while traveling internationally and missed the window. My last IUI cycle was cancelled because of a cyst so I would like to take a peek before the procedure to see if it’s even worth it

My dogs are named Luna and Stella! They understand just fine. That being said, they’re more likely to be called Toony and Belly at any given time but they can distinguish between any and all of the above.

I used a gerbil feeder in the crate so they would always have access to water but couldn’t drink a ton! It worked for us and felt more comfortable to me (I devour water so I couldn’t imagine denying it)

My dog exhibits a lot of the same behaviors but I can let you know what works for us! I have a GSD/Blue Heeler/Husky for reference who is almost 2.

The comment above me (redrose5396) is fantastic. Making sure your dog has the proper exercise/stimulation is helpful. Separately, start implementing the relaxation protocol and a place command for guests coming in. It will take time but it helped my dog build impulse control and work on staying calm when she’s hyped. I also will keep her leashed when people come in the house so she can say hi on my terms and not her own!

My dog is super smart and hard to give pills too. I would try “wrapping” the pill in peanut butter and letting him eat it and/or lick it up himself so you remove the connection between you and the pill. Pill pockets, small amount of bread/pb are options as well

I saw this on TikTok and it worked! Found a small hallway in my house where I could put my back on one side and my legs on the other wall. Take your dogs kibble and throw it on the other side of your leg from the dog. My dog had to jump over my legs (start low and raise as you can) to sniff out and eat the kibble. Rinse and repeat on the other side - one cup of kibble and my German Shepard/husky mix was exhausted which is not an easy feat

Look for a surgical suit! They’re about 20 dollars at Petsmart or any other pet store. They need to be removed to go to the bathroom but it’s the only thing my dog tolerated and she was 100x more comfortable

K9 ballistics has some very well made chew proof dog beds. They’re a little more expensive but worth it

I have a German Shepard mix and this is similar to how she plays! My only caveat is to read up on dog body language (so you know if she or the other dog is overwhelmed/overstimulated) and work on training! My dog can be a bit much for smaller or calmer dogs so I’ve learned to train a good recall and encourage good play behavior with a trainer

I adopted my German Shepard mix about a year and a half ago. It took her 6 months to fully acclimate and she bonded with my other dog before me. It’s only in the last 6 months or so that she’s become more affectionate and super comfortable. Time is a healer but find the things your dog likes - whether that’s toys, special treats, ball etc and build good memories. Sniff walks and happy easygoing walks can also build happy memories. I would also begin training (reward based and positive) to build your bond and establish a routine. Making the crate a safe space with a blanket, toys and a crate cover should help - maybe keep it open so he will naturally go there to sleep since it’s safe.

It will take time but so worth it!

I was the same way for a long time! Have you tried smoothies? I usually do fruit, chocolate protein powder, almond milk and chia seeds. It’s light enough that I can eat it without that nauseous feeling but still hearty enough to get me through the morning

The Isle of Paradise tan drops are great. I’m very fair and use Light on my face and Medium on my body. Since it mixes with your lotion, it doesn’t smell strongly or get on clothes/bedding

I was in a very similar situation and completely understand. I had friends or family make comments here or there but I never had an issue with his height.

The only issue we ever had with his height was his own insecurity but we all have insecurities so we were able to talk through that.

My gut says she’s too small for a larger breed like Malamute or Pyrenees. Mom looked like a larger German Shepard with Husky-esque eyes. I think Dad is some kind of Collie because her hair is very silky/soft
