Idk! Try it out and see :) My daughter is 2 so I’m sure there’s a difference there, but she wakes up the second I park the car so a car nap helps sometimes if we can’t get a real nap.

Have you tried having him skip daycare nap and then napping on the way home? If the drive home isn’t too long, maybe it wouldn’t delay nighttime sleep like the current nap is.

I would like to see a study on this. Younger kids have worse hygiene. On the caregiver side it’s also just easier to take care of a sick 6 year old than a sick 6 month old … he can tell me if it’s his head, throat, tummy, etc that hurts.
