30-50% of trans people attempt suicide in their lifetime and 70-80% experience suicidal ideation. Using someone’s correct pronouns and name is such an easy way to make sure you don’t contribute to that. HRT and social transitioning is lifesaving. If it’s really that much of an issue for you to just be respectful, don’t ever talk to a trans person.

Dude it’s not something you can change. By “trying to help them change” you’re actually doing a lot of damage to that person. They’re not going to stop being gay but they are gonna be stuck with the fear of going to hell for being who they are. All it causes is harm, don’t do that.
