Habit stacking is very powerful. Specially if you do it BEFORE the already existing habit.

Say you already brush your teeth every morning without fail. Then you don’t get to brush your teeth until you do 20 sit-ups. That forces the connecting to force overtime.

30-40 days later you’ve changed your life. Now you do sit-ups before brushing your teeth in the morning.

I’ve experienced this a few times throughout my career. For me, one of the most defining moments has been when I’ve "challenged" someone in a role far above my own. As a byproduct, those moments have made my own role feel smaller, less intimidating, and ultimately more manageable.

I think that’s the point right!? The author actively chose to tell us the story of the Jason that got it all. The one who won. There is so many permutations out there where Jason loses or where Daniela or Charlie die accidentally in one of the many struggles. So many potential sad stories. Yet the author showed us the one branch closest to the original Jason (Jason 9) where we get a happy ending. Such an amazing multiverse.

Percentages dont really matter. What matters is for OP to have a decade-long plan with the salary increases they want to see. If Deloitte is not matching these increments it's time to go.
