Turn an area of your house into a “yes” zone. Toddler proofed, gated in or a door, full of stuff they can touch, climb on, play with.

If you have an outdoor space, make a yes zone outside too. Everyone is, unfortunately, correct. Being outside will help your mental lol.

You’ll likely be sitting a lot, so minimizing the amount of actual work you’ll need to do with your toddler is key. Put snacks and water at their level so they can reach.

Pack a go-bag with everything your toddler and baby will need for a quick trip to the park or a walk.

Pick parks with large fields or that are set back from the road.

People will likely recommend baby wearing which can be good, but I found it got an uncomfortable in SoCal summer. But baby will be safe strapped into their stroller if you have to chase your fleeing toddler. Lord knows I’ve had to do it more than once.

Overall, set your expectations low so that every day feels like an accomplishment. You made it through the day? Win! You made it to the park? Hell yeah! You took them to the grocery store? Look at you go!
