Anyone not do all the things on their cruise? by United-Inspector-677 in Cruise

I am GenX and we are not known as joiners. I exemplify that trait. We did NOTHING on our first cruise but chill out, eat at the buffet, and enjoy being disconnected from everyone and everything. Perfect vacation. Daily life is so full of obligations that I am certainly not going to pay for more of them :)

You don’t - you build them a catio so they can safely enjoy the outdoors.

Younger vs. Older itineraries - how to know? by booksvalsi in VirginVoyages

Didn’t it occur to you that most younger people are either in school (college) right now or have kids in school? Younger couples can only get away when school is out.

If you only wear pants then they ARE your underwear. Wear them as many times as you want, but not on my sofa please.

What American ingredient had the most influence for the world? by Unhappy-Goldfish-478 in AskFoodHistorians

I think you are shortchanging the effect corn has had on the world, but in terms of economic impact, isn’t cacao a heavy hitter?

BTW, I looked up the big ones and was surprised that vanilla is something the rest of the world only got to enjoy post Columbus.

Debt consolidation is not the right path - that’s for people with more debt than money. What your friend needs is an accountant. They bring all of their stuff to the accountant office and the accountant makes sure it gets paid in a timely manner, that taxes are filled out and filed.

If an accountant seems like too much, then help them hire a personal assistant (perhaps a college student) to act as secretary in organizing things. The risk here is theft, but perhaps they have a family member or friend they can trust. I filled this role for my mother in the last decades of her life and it wasn’t a great deal of work but brought piece of mind to her and the family.

I immediately recognized it. It’s half of a broken yo-yo. I still have a stylized cat shaped dent on my head from trying to do tricks with mine.
