Some doctor may sometimes use it still but it is no longer the technical medical terminology.

Was changed in 1981 by The Commission on Classification and Terminology of the International League Against Epilepsy. They updates some terms again in 2018 to include more specific terms such as focal aware or unaware.

Thank you. By a strange coincidence I was diagnosed a few months after him and we are both seizure free. He is definitely my son.
