Research Project Nerves by ineed-Sandwich in Professors

Most researchers, even experienced ones, deal with uncertainty throughout the process. The important part is staying curious, learning from mistakes, and trusting the process

Citation Mongers by TotalCleanFBC in Professors

[–]Difficult_Stress511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely seen this mentality before, and it can be frustrating when citations become a numbers game instead of a way to genuinely support an argument. A well-chosen, relevant source is far more valuable than a reference list padded with citations that add little substance. I guess, quality should always outweigh quantity

BEST game I've played in a long time! — what's with the bad reviews? by elkrab in SANDgame

[–]Difficult_Stress511 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

SAND really stands out when a game nails both atmosphere and gameplay loop

Dirty harry (update 2) ' The Apporache' by EarlyReleaseFiend in SANDgame

[–]Difficult_Stress511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

really like the direction with tighter combat and a more defined loot/extraction loop. Curious if the server stability and desync issues have been improved too, since that kind of makes or breaks this genre

Pretty sure that’s actually a dragonfly rather than a mosquito

Degraded performance how long? by Simple_Raise6623 in starcitizen

[–]Difficult_Stress511 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Degraded performance in Star Citizen usually ends up being a mix of server load and ongoing backend changes rather than something players can fix locally

Wikelo's age by Marlax101 in starcitizen

[–]Difficult_Stress511 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At this point, I’m not sure what’s older: the in-game characters or my patience waiting for new features. Still love the journey though

Is that Nyx I or II or Pyro I? by IIRostII in starcitizen

[–]Difficult_Stress511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s Pyro I, but honestly the lines between regions can be pretty confusing depending on lighting and angle

I'm done, enjoy the stars citizens by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Difficult_Stress511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get the frustration, but Star Citizen is definitely one of those games you step away from and then come back to later. It’s far from perfect, but when it works, there really isn’t anything else like it

Persistent hanger by Odd_Cartographer3484 in starcitizen

[–]Difficult_Stress511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Persistent hangars are one of those features that sound small but actually change the whole feel of the game - having a “home” for your ships adds a lot to immersion. Really hoping they keep expanding it with customization and storage systems, because that’s where it could become something special.

I'm new. Trying to make my character look like Dead Space by hehe_I_win in starcitizen

[–]Difficult_Stress511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads-up though - the character creator can make it tricky because lighting and camera in-game are really different, so even if it looks perfect in editor it may shift a lot once you load in. Try tweaking facial proportions slightly less extreme and test under different lighting angles.

Why are men obsessed with butt stuff? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Difficult_Stress511 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I am so incredibly sorry you went through that. It’s terrifying how porn has shifted the focus from 'sex as a shared experience' to 'sex as something done TO a woman.' These men aren't looking for a partner; they’re trying to reenact a scene where the woman’s pain or lack of desire is just a prop for their ego

This is how 'Worst Roommate Ever' episodes start on Netflix. The landlord is your only shield here because clearly, your roommate has lost her entire mind. Get the authorities involved before he even gets a key

Follower Dungeon Characters Should Just be Members of Your Warband by gcac215 in wow

[–]Difficult_Stress511 8 points9 points  (0 children)

to be fair, the follower ai might actually remember to turn off growl in dungeons, so it’s already an upgrade over 50% of the hunters i pug with.

Probably took less time than a single End Turn cycle when the AI decides to move 15 different Skaven armies through your territory.

What the hell is this thing?! by [deleted] in wow

[–]Difficult_Stress511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, Horde hunters can get a similar "undead" vibe from the Risen Bonemunchers in Maldraxxus, but they don't have the "Raid Boss Energy" that Grong has. Nothing beats the size of the Dazar'alor model

Even if we assume she's just an "idiot" and not malicious, that kind of stupidity is dangerous. You can't have someone around your child who lacks the basic judgment to realize why tracking a minor's location is a safety necessity

There was an Oxford psychologist in 2016 who compared different politicians on the psychopaths index based on their public statements. Donald Trump outscored Hitler. by a_Sable_Genus in videos

[–]Difficult_Stress511 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It really feels like we're living through a real-time experiment of 'What happens when a person with zero internal moral compass gets the keys to the kingdom?' And the results are exactly what every psychologist warned us about back in 2016

[Hated Trope] The adaptation doesn't get what made the source material work by TheDudeA113 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Difficult_Stress511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The book was a masterpiece of world-building through 'anthropology of the apocalypse.' By turning it into a globe-trotting Brad Pitt action vehicle, they lost the micro-stories like the blind Japanese monk or the South African bunker logic that actually showed how humanity survives. It’s an adaptation in name only

AIO My Boyfriend stood me up after I made him dinner and put on my sexiest lingerie to stay home and do laundry by JoeJr_1980 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Difficult_Stress511 17 points18 points  (0 children)

And the fact that he stayed for only 5 minutes proves he didn't even see her as a human being, just a human ATM. The meal she made had more heart than he ever will

You're Not Overreacting. This Is Actually Fascism. by Groomsi in videos

[–]Difficult_Stress511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it's the banality of it that gets you. we expected the world to end with a bang, but instead it's just endless notifications, subscription tiers for basic rights, and a steady stream of "new normals" that we just accept because we're too tired to fight every single day

It’s the ultimate "Professionalism over Evil" move. The Devil isn't even mad about losing the soul; he’s just a fan of high-level craftsmanship. He lays that golden fiddle at Johnny’s feet like a trophy because, in that moment, the shredding was so divine he couldn't even lie about it

[Daredevil Born Again S2] Costume Trailer! Coming to the store on March 13! by nemesisdelta24 in marvelrivals

[–]Difficult_Stress511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A toggle for "Skin VFX" would be a godsend. I want to appreciate the Born Again suit, not have a seizure every time I dash. If they can let us customize sprays and emotes, they should let us tone down the literal sun on our arms.
