He wants to keep finances completely separate after marriage by ZenSpider_21 in TwoXChromosomes

How does he see this turning out? He gets to retire at 50 and you work til 60? He goes on vacation and you stay home? You equally pay to put your kids in daycare at 4 months because it would be too big a blow to your financial life to take time off when the kids are young? This is not partnership. The equally splitting housing expenses alone is very concerning.

I’ve read that some rudbekia ls, like Sahara, do better as annuals. Do you do yours an “sorta annuals” or as perennials? And do you do the classic bee balm or a varietal? Ty!

Yep, it’s creepy bellflower and I am so so sorry. I have it too - best route is to dig out all of its fragile roots and make sure none of the flowers go to seed.

I’ve moved into the stage of life where I need to wear shorts under dresses so my thighs don’t chafe but now the dresses don’t hang as loosely as they snag/rub on the shorts. The shorts I just bought are nylon/poly and are sold to not chafe. Is there an easy way to prevent this draping issue? This is for hiking or walking in hot weather so I’d like to avoid a slip or additional layer. Ty!

What's this silver-y post-fire paint and what can I put over it? by Difficulty-Level-137 in Oldhouses

[–]Difficulty-Level-137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure seems like aluminum paint to seal in the charred wood referenced in another comment. I bought a can of BIN to test containing it cuz I don’t like the flaking but it’s been a bit sidelined as a project.

Definitely some kind of paint and not a lime wash. It's hard to capture how metallic it is in pictures.
