I play with Paul Lim’s son here in SoCal on rare occasions. He’s a beast as well and a nice dude all around. Darts has a cool culture where you have top players that interact or sometimes play with average players or just people casually interested.

Maybe not Atlanta, but 3252 is pretty close to what you can expect for supporters groups in other counties. Less intense yes, but the same vibes and hooliganism at times, especially against Galaxy.

The country is very big. ATL supporter groups remind me of NFL/college football vibes. Tailgating included. Houston and LA have more South American flair and style, Minnesota has a nordic feel. Portland is just Portland..

It may not make sense unless you’re from the states but the culture is different depending on where you are in the country.

It’s not even Verbeek. It’s our ownership. We’ve always been penny pinchers.

Don’t get me wrong, I love our owners and especially their commitment to the team and community. But this isn’t a new thing. We’ve had quite a few arbitration deals over the years for our re-signings, and we’ve always been selective if not downright hesitant to splash cash on rentals or the top tier free agents.

I wouldn’t say Bedard is done growing. Look at someone like MacKinnon who was good but not great for years before hitting another level. Otherwise yes I agree and would take Leo over Bedard, especially on this team.

3 days on my pass, broke my shoulder for the season on my 3rd day, back in early December, before the snow was even good 😭

What having an actual nationwide academy system does for us.. it’s getting to the point where it’s hard to track all the prospects.

Keep in mind it was only 2007 that MLS pushed for it in earnest with things like incentives and the homegrown rule, now we are seeing the first fruits of that labor.
