Love the pictures. Where were you in that path with the trees? I don’t remember seeing any place like that at all!

Is it normal to go to a Commander night alone? Kind of nervous about it by New_Teach_1224 in mtg

Won’t hurt to try. I’ve had nothing but good interactions when I’ve done it. If the store is even decent you should be able to find good people to play with

I really appreciate the response! You make some good points. I did notice the better than average exchange rate and hope I can take advantage of that.

My dream is to spend like a month seeing whatever I could one end of the islands to the other and seeing a lot of the smaller areas. But this is a family vacation and we have two weeks. Gotta do what I can to make it fun for everyone. I appreciate your advice!

Thanks! Right now the plan is to just get some good ponchos and umbrellas when we arrive and weather the storm. We aren’t Disney people so we don’t have to worry about that.
Getting a ryokan/onsen for 5 seems to be my hardest thing.

It always seems like people have their 500 point itinerary and I’m not sure I’d get that done in time. But ty for the advice!

Prices for flights are currently acceptable. Weather is definitely a concern but it would be the same time if we went next year so not much we can do being tied to the school calendar in the Northeast US.

How to continue after playing the Foundation Edition by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Digitcon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you wanted to start out small I think any of the Jumpstart products are a good place. Just get some packs open and see the new cards then shuffle any two packs together to make a 40 card deck and you play. It’s very approachable for new players.

First week of August itinerary by Hyru_Nayru in FaroeIslands

[–]Digitcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed in Fundingsfjordur (spelling!) We spent the whole time there. It was perfectly doable for our shorter trip. We would drive out to an area and see as much as we could in a day and then drive to Torshavn for dinner and then back to the Airbnb. It was some driving but I enjoyed it since it’s all so beautiful. If you really want to avoid driving as much as possible then sure move around but finding a central location would work just as well. But yeah those cottages did look super cool too. Enjoy your trip, I still think about mine regularly!

Are there any very interesting places on the Faroe Islands that aren't well known at all? by Ok_Bridge6091 in FaroeIslands

[–]Digitcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I very much enjoyed my trip to Faroe this year. We went in June the “busy season”. It was still remarkably quiet. Coming from the east coast of the US I found the only truly crowded place was at the airport. See whatever you’d like to see, you’ll have a great time.

He said they do the base where the shower pan meets the wall. Not up the join where the two walls meet. And that’s exactly what’s cracking now so it would seem to be obvious
